Yep flatbed cutter is the best way.
We did flexcut on our Summa a couple of times but it was slow and took too long to set up for different media.
We usually used a Neolt trimmer until the ProCut.
They aren't meant to last forever.
Either sell them a new banner or better yet a proper permanent sign if they want it to last more than a year.
Also managing their expectations is the key. Sell them the banner as a short term option.
We have a Seal 62 Base with heat on the top roller.
The heater's too weak to really make much difference with calendared film and makes no difference on cast so we rarely use it.
Ditto all the above especially Johnny Best.
Focusing on lowballing competitors is counter productive. There will always be someone cheaper.
I had a budget conscious customer complain about our prices for ages.
He had one of his trucks done with some sailtrack banners for a fraction of the price...
I've had that issue on a couple of my 25500s linearisations.
It's not a deal breaker.
If you're sure you're using the correct profiles etc I'd start again and make a new profile.
Wow good luck.
After being burnt once by HP I would never again have only one of their printers.
If you get a good one they are fabulous workhorses.
We have a 25500 and two 360s.
One of the 360s has had a couple of problems although easily fixed under warranty.
It still takes nearly an hour some...
If I'm in the mood to play I'll say hang on I'll get him... then see how long they stay on the line waiting.
Though usually I just hang up without saying a word.
I know it's concerning to have customers complaining about failures but corrugated plastic signs are really a budget short term option.
If they are getting 5 or 6 months I'd say it's time to buy some new ones.
