a backup ower supply for a printer will need to be huge. The one needed for a printer will cost about 15 grand.
A 1500 watt backuppower supply with the battery needed to power a printer for a few minutes will not be purchased in a box store.

why worry about the sq ft price of ink. The cost is mere pennies. IF one has to think about the cost of of a product by the sw ft then that becomes a commodity.
When something is reduced to a commodity then the price will be pushed down.

the client is not the boss.. He doesn't know that a sign is not to be sniffed. A sign is observed from a small distance and panel line separations become almost invisible at a proper distance.

Did you find the test function so you can maybe get an educated guess as to what is wrong?
Did you even look for it? Took it all apart. Called tech support.. spent 400 bux on it. And still broken...
if it is a good cutter it will have a test function. Scroll through the menu to find it. Select it and the cutter will make a test cut. Usually a small square or something like that. If it does the test cut then you know the cutter is working fine. If it fails then you know the cutter is dead.
To me MAgs are a waste of time. I quit making them long ago. They either fall off. Or will ruin the surface behind them if left on for a long time.
The client comes back and demands replacement even when told they are not guaranteed to stay on.
They take way too much time to care for them...
HDU is guaranteed not to warp.
I would contact the manufacturer and get some input from them.
Duna board is good stuff. Having to back that stuff when it is guaranteed not to warp seems to be an unreasonable expense. A closed cell product repels moisture and has no reason to curl or act...
