  1. Font ID Help

Do you have any more letters or is that it?
  2. Subscription Based Software

Yep. Also worth mentioning that $10 a month gets us pretty much all the fonts we could ever need, including matching most fonts that clients want us to use for their brand. That's the one subscription (Monotype Library) that actually saves us a ton of $$$.
  3. Subscription Based Software

I really don't get the comments about wanting to "own" the software. What's the point? I used to own CD's, hard drives, software, etc. but I love that everything is shifting to a subscription model. All those things just took up space in my house, and now they live in the cloud. I get all the...
  4. Need help on custom numbers for a hotel.

Looks like laser-cut acrylic. Anyone with a CNC could do something similar.
  5. monument font

No luck here. Perhaps the engraving was done using proprietary fonts specific to their engraving equipment? Those can be hard to identify, as they're often based on a more common font but with a variety of small differences.
  6. Rounded Corners: Can Anyone Explain This!?

Yeah, I get that. I just want to know how exactly he's measuring the radius of the corner. If you haven't done it before, and you're not very good with geometry, you could easily get confused about where the centre point of the radius is, and that would turn an 8.1 radius into a measurement of...
  7. Rounded Corners: Can Anyone Explain This!?

Can you explain (or show us a drawing of) how you're measuring the radius of a round corner on a triangle? The problem is more likely you than it is Illustrator, I think.

  9. Question Looking for Dukes of Hazard font

You should still post an image next time. If you're going to ask for help, the least you can do is save the people who are nice enough to help you from having to look up the image you're referencing, or guessing what it is you want. It really should also go without saying that if you're posting...

  13. Question Looking for Dukes of Hazard font

The original Dukes of Hazzard logotype is Hobo. hobo « MyFonts The logotype for the 2005 remake is obviously a custom design, although it appears to have been based on a few different fonts. Clarendon would be a decent starting point.

Maybe it's not a font? The A's and E's are different.
  18. Wall graphics job

Another vote for Avery 2611 here. We print on it with Roland eco-solvent inks and the ink adhesion is exceptional. You don't need to laminate to protect the ink from your squeegee, and it's twice as thick as regular vinyl so you don't need to laminate it to make installation easier, either. I...
  19. Applying printed vinyl to presubstrate, a few questions

Ah, I see—I didn't realize you were in the Bahamas. However, styrene can be rolled for shipping if it needs to fit on a pallet. Takes up more space, though. In any case, I think it's a bit crazy for you to be doing any production work on this job when you could just get someone with a flatbed...
  20. Applying printed vinyl to presubstrate, a few questions

If flatbed isn't an option, the sane way to do this is print the signs in 4'x8' batches with bleeds and trim marks, apply to 4'x8' styrene sheets with a laminator or table roller, then hand-cut the signs to finished size. That's far less work than pre-cutting the blanks, pre-cutting the prints...
