  2. Monotype Library Subscription?

Old post, but we've been using the Monotype subscription for almost a year now and we love it. It has most of the classics that we use every day, like Helvetica, Univers, Franklin, and thousands of others. Between the Monotype subscription, Typekit and Google Fonts, we rarely need to buy...

  8. What kind of sign is that?

It can, but that depends on what colour you paint it, how much direct sun it gets, the thickness of the PVC, and the density of the foam. Thick, dense PVC is often used for outdoor signs and doesn't usually warp noticeably unless you paint it black.

Based on previous requests I've seen here, apparently fire truck fonts are not publicly available for purchase. You'll probably have to trace it yourself or find some special fire truck font company to set the type for you.
  14. Suggestions Logo opinion - WDRacing

Excellent advice :D And with JR's comment in mind, it's awesome that you're learning to edit the letterforms in the type for your logo designs, but it's really obvious that you don't know what you're doing. The edits you made look awful. Keep learning, but don't make edits like this in a logo...
  15. Gray to white gradient issues

I don't know if this helps, but it sounds like you think that spot colours can't be used for gradients. They certainly can—you just have to have the same spot colour on both ends, which it seems would be useful to you in this case. For example, if you want a gradient from Roland BK12 (medium...

  19. Suggestions How to make a font list.

Well, if you have a graphic designer at your shop, I'd say it's generally their job to decide what fonts are appropriate, not the client's job. However, a font list might be good for B2C jobs like boat lettering. I would suggest typing out the name of the font and then all uppercase, lowercase...
  20. Need Help What font did GM used for Chevrolet (Camaro) door labels 1997?

I posted detailed instructions earlier in the thread. Which part are you having trouble with? Another easier way to do it would be to simply set the text in Photoshop and turn off antialiasing. It's the dropdown box right next to the point size - change it from "Sharp" to "None".
