I've got the M and the Mercury logo. Having a hard time finding the Optimax 250XS. Anyone know where I can go to find those vectors? Already tried BOTW and allfreelogo. If not, anyone know the font for the word Optimax? I'm sure it will need some skewing... but it looks like something I should have.
Yeah, it's LED. There are a few shadows we need to address... but overall, I'm happy with how bright they came out. I understand the energy usage is like a fraction of neon, so that's worth it.
The green is 3M translucent lime green 368C.
I'm really happy with the way the silhouette...
I just wanted to say that the PopUp product from Fellers prints like a dream. Ran it in high quality mode and there's not a hint of banding or anything. I laminated it with Oracal 210 matte. We'll see how well it holds up in the retractable. I'm totally happy with it so far.
Here's the first...
We've never had a problem in the past with bay boat trailers. The fenders have been bolted on every one, so we could removed them. However, on this bass boat the fenders were welded to the frame. We had to get creative and a little crazy.
Fortunately, we've got an marine aluminum fabricator...
Nope... just a print shop here. My buddy at 4DSignWorx took good care of me. All our customers who need lighted signs, channel letters and monuments get sent straight to them. They do great work.
We just finished this Skeeter Bass Boat for a local pro bass angler. The deal was too good to pass up. Hopefully we'll get some visibility out of it.
We've done plenty of bay boats. This is our first bass boat... what a nightmare. Had to make a paper pattern for every little thing. Needless...
Pretty exciting! Now we are redoing all the windows... getting rid of the yellow and focusing on the green/white. Will post some more pics when it's all finished.
I guess the more important question is how far away is more ink if you need it? We can get ink same day if we pick it up or next day if we want it delivered. So, we keep and as-needed inventory of ink with one extra set on hand at all times. When a cartridge gets replaced, we order another. If...
Eh... an 1/8 of an inch is not going to make a huge difference on most layouts. Let's be realistic. It's pretty tough to lay vinyl within a 1/8" margin of error.
Find the centermost point on the vehicle. Stand back and hold the camera even with that center point. Take a picture. Measure...
We went with the PopUp from Fellers for now. I've done some test prints and it looks great so far. It didn't cross my mind to laminate until bendeane mentioned it. Anyone else laminated PopUp? What did you use. I'm gonna try Oracal 210 Matte first and see how it looks.
OK... I read it. Wish I didn't. Gabagoo, you're an idiot.
For those of you who don't want to read the nonsense he posted up above, let me summarize it for you. Gabagoo gave someone his credit card over the phone to pay for something for some random guy who happened to be in his neighbor's...
Same here in Houston Mosh. The big Bud distributor in town has a full on print shop... with designer, production guys, installers, etc. They do everything in house.
In the beginning, we tried to "tease" with a basic layout to try to sell the job, too. Hell, we did whatever we had to do to get some wraps through the door. I've learned my lesson and learned it the hard way. We have an extensive portfolio of wraps and other design work. Now, I will not invest...
We had already printed two 25 foot panels for the sides of the boat. Thank goodness we got through those before the cut started. I probably would have had a coronary if we couldn't finish the boat today.
