  1. Business Card Bashing!

Great job with the revisions. I would definitely put your website back in that bar across the front of the card. In our business, a memorable website address is everything. Other than that, ready to print!
  2. van wrap question

If you do vertical panels on a van, depending on the van, you will have to match up 4 or more seams on each side. If you do horizontal panels on a van, you just have one seam. Place that one seam down low and it will be out of most people's line of sight when the are looking at the van. It won't...
  3. van wrap question

How do you figure you'll have less to match up doing vertical panels? If you do the sides of the van in 2 horizontal panels, you only have one seam to match up. We usually do the full width of the vinyl for the upper panel and then do a small strip across the bottom for the lower panel. That...
  4. Getting Payment

That's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard.
  5. Getting Payment

Hmmm maybe a 4x8 sign on the wall behind your front counter that says something like "YOU PAY NOW".
  6. Vehicle Wrap Templates

Haven't found a template that was accurate yet... unless I made it. For most vehicles, we use digital pics. Just snap a pic of the side of the vehicle with the camera centered horizontally and vertically -- meaning you'll have to hold the camera about waist high in most situations. Take one...
  7. Looking to outsource some 24x24" Coro prints

I won't speak for Keith, but even I-45 signs has minimum orders on screen printed signs. It's gonna cost an arm and a leg to print 3 of anything. Better to do in house with digital print vinyl on coro if he has the equipment to do it.
  8. Shop Truck concepts

Great job on all of them! I like #3 the best... the lines definitely flow better with the truck.
  9. Looking to outsource some 24x24" Coro prints

Mosh is right. For a measly 3 signs of each of 4 designs, I'd tell my customer the only way we will produce it is to print vinyl and apply. We have minimum order requirements for coro signs anyway -- screen printed or full color. If you only want 3, you're gonna pay for it. We have access to a...
  10. Wrap question

You have to laminate... there simply is no reasonable argument otherwise. If you're a cheapa$$ and have to cut corners every which way you can, then just use a lesser quality cast vinyl/lam product. Otherwise stick to 3M 180C and 8518/19/20 laminate. There are some crazy specials going on with...
  11. 5x10 work tble. where did you guy get that 5x10 sheet??

We used two 5x4 pieces of MDF with a 5x2 piece in the middle predrilled and screwed down. Topped off with a 5x10 self healing mat and it's virtually seamless. Works like a charm.
  12. Roland ECO ink not so ECO ???

I wonder if one of those HEPA filter things might be any help in removing any toxins from the air?
  13. Deciding to go my own way. Logo critique.

In choosing a name, it's important to find something memorable, easy to spell, and without a lot of letters that could be confused for other letters. Stay away from too many D's and B's for instance. Of course, your name has to have a matching URL that is available... preferably a dot com...
  14. So let the hatin begin

Me thinks if you have to ask this... maybe you should pay someone to do this... I'm just sayin.
  15. Job postings

I posted an ad on Craiglist Houston a few weeks ago looking for a designer. I received over 150 resumes. Somewhere around 100 of them spelled every word correctly in their response letter. About 50 of them actually had some kind of portfolio. Only 10 of them were worthy of scheduling an...
  16. So let the hatin begin

Perhaps something like this would have been more effective from a design standpoint... p.s. not hating... just having a little fun :)
  17. Tee shirt artwork

    Sweet! Can I buy one?
  18. So let the hatin begin

Racer, I'm not gonna comment on your design work... I agree with pretty much everyone else here on that one. I am curious about your install methods. Now keep in mind, I've been beat up a little around here because we pull the mirrors, door handles, window trim, emblems, antennas, etc off of...
  19. So let the hatin begin

Just because you can doesn't mean you should.
  20. Dealing with a client that doesn't pay. What to do???
