I'm doing a home show here in my community in a couple weeks for my other business and need to get some banners made up on the cheap. (I know, I'm the customer we all hate) Is anyone familiar with these style stands? Are they worth it or should I get something sturdier...

Just an update: I just bought a new computer and that update was made for me on Jan 7. I'm having no issues with my fonts from it. It must have been patched.

Those are the most ridiculous laws. Over-the-top bureaucratic nonsense. What is their reason for requiring contractor numbers on T-Shirts? Sheesh. Good suggestions above guys. I like Joe's way of explaining. The problem is, most of my customers are Sign shops. :(

...That a phone number, address and the business owners name don't need to be on a storefront sign? I understand a phone number works for CERTAIN businesses, but the rest is unnecessary. It's amazing how many sign companies think these elements are necessary too. End of speech...

I may be needing to replace my laptop I use for design work. The one I'm on now is 32 bit. Will I be able to run my programs on the newer 64 bit laptops? Mostly concerned about being able to use Corel Draw X4

I'm not Joe, but I'll chime in as someone who receives a lot of art created by others. Working with contours is a GREAT habit to get into. Outlines are pretty useless in this industry in my opinion. Most of the time, when a designer creates with outlines, they forget to make the outlines...

Seems like a lot of folks are starting to use the Modern Masters metallic paints with good results. Just bought some myself to experiment with.

Looks nice! Although I agree with CP Signs. I think since you already have a spurred font for the main copy, try a simpler font for your secondary. Or, maybe use the same font but remove the spurs for the secondary, like the attached...
