Not absolutely sure (from memory) if this is how ya do it but: did you try changing the defaults? Choose Edit>Preferences and the Documents tab. Default template for the work space setup is called Defaults.FT10. Nearly everything can be setup different. Create a new, untitled document. Setup...

Last Ditch Effort... EVERYTHING points to a motherboard in the Edge issue from the processes of elimination info I got from Gerber's tech support archives. BUT... I'm dumping the processor, totally formatting the HD, and re-loading the software to see if a clean setup accomplishes anything...

I just looked back over the titles posted by me in the Gerber forum, and was taken aback by how many problems I've been battling with my Edge. I got it off ebay from a really great guy in Canada... and it currently only shows 9960 print minutes. For 3 straight days I've been thru every online...

Go ahead and send me the EC before you install it! I'll research all that for ya at length, and eventually post the correct answers. Oh yeah... and eventually send the EC program back, too.

Ok... what's it mean if the Edge stops about 6 inches into a print and a window comes up with:Overlap I/O event is not in a signaled state. (996) line 732? I'm outa guesses and tries. Anything I attempt further gives me a Data Error on the machine readout LED. Thanks/Dave

Okay... it happened again today and caused me to hafta scrap about half a van lettering job when I had no Cut selection available. I was in sync with the two previous replies - everything mentioned in them checked out on my machine. Man... this has me a bit gunshy after screwin' up the printing...

This is happening too frequently for me to put up with anymore. Sometimes when I have sent a job out to the Edge machine and the printing is done, when I come back to the Plot window to click the knife icon to start cutting the icon is grayed out and therefore not functioning. What's up with...
