A little more info. If I take the print job that has been auto resized into Job Editor it will let me resize it and then it fixes the incorrect maximum width. But thats on a per job basis. Not ideal.
Check out the attached screenshot. Why the crap is onyx saying I can only print 54" on 62" media? Why the crap wont it let me change it? HOW do I change it? I'm very obviously missing something here.

If I had to hazzard a guess I would say that your media profile isnt handling the shadows very well. It looks like to me its supposed to be a subtle gradient. But that your profile is laying down to much ink on it.

it sounds like your pallets are getting mixed up. Maybe try disabling the pantone pallets that you dont want to use? I'm not sure. Sounds like you will have to tweak and test until you find out whats wrong.
I would check my color settings and see if the Color profile is different between the two different files. If the color settings are not the same then that could explain the color shift. You always want to be working in the same color space between documents to avoid color shifting.
