  1. Roland LEJ-640

Anyone have one of these or know anything about them? Looking into one and curious as to what people think of them.
  2. HP L26500/Graphtec FC8000 vs. Roland or Mimaki Print &Cut

Depending on the amount of cutting you will do and how thick of material you will be cutting. That is the one I started out with. It worked okay, but there is definitely a reason the S-Class T Series is about twice as much. I think it was well worth the upgrade. It is more accurate and a lot...
  3. iPad2

PM me your address. I will send you the ones that I have.
  4. Wow! I think I found my Software?

I thought of that afterwards. Being a one man shop, it justs makes it easier for me, especially when doing multiple copies and nesting.
  5. Wow! I think I found my Software?

You need to make sure to have the color matching settings right on Caldera. The first prints I did they were all turned off and the prints looked like CRAP! Once the tech realized that and got everything how it was supposed to be, the colors looked great. I don't have experience with any other...
  6. are they failing that often? (Print Heads)

I also like the "oh crap!" incidents. If you have a nasty head strike or something to that effect and take out a couple heads, at least with the HP it's only going to be about $200 tops and you can be up and going in minutes. As most HP users can afford to have extra heads sitting on there...
  7. HP L26500/Graphtec FC8000 vs. Roland or Mimaki Print &Cut

I don't remember the tangential being that much more? When comparing both in the S-Class. I really like mine anyways. From someone who has had both, a print/cut machine and now (2) separate machines, if you have the room, I would highly recommend getting separate machines. You seem to always...
  8. HP L26500/Graphtec FC8000 vs. Roland or Mimaki Print &Cut

I went through 2 machines as the first one the head assembly was broke. I could never get the second one to read and cut accurately. Even after hours on the phone with their tech support. Sent it back, got a Summa, and haven't had a problem since. I did upgrade again from the standard Summa to...
  9. HP L26500/Graphtec FC8000 vs. Roland or Mimaki Print &Cut

I went from a VP540 to a L25500 with a Summa S140T. I would highly recommend Summa over Graphtec. The FC-8000 I had was a piece of crap! I do a lot of labels and it is way fast have separate machines! You wouldn't think it is that big of a deal until you have had both setups. Also with the...
  10. Laminate Nightmare on Perf

I have used the Briteline stuff from Grimco and it worked for me. I would only recommend it for flat windows though. Doesn't curve very well.
  11. Wow! I think I found my Software?

I run banner material all of the time with mine and they turn out great. Haven't had any complaints yet anyways. I did find that with my Caldera, the colors come out better when I tell it to use the Heavy Textile Banner profile. With that you have to tell the printer you are loading fabric when...
  12. Wrap Material - Hate to start a new thread but...

I haven't had a problems with Arlon at all. I like working with it better than 3M actually.
  13. Anyone gone from eco-sol to HP Latex then back?

What brand? Ive tried some, but it curled like crazy afterwards. It did rib nice though.
  14. Laminator Needed

I've had good luck with my US Tech. www.bestdgi.com. Just make sure to get one with one lever to adjust the tension.
  15. so... what's up with the surecolor?

The new S70 looks cool. wonder how their 8 color setup looks? Also wondering how their white and silver look. A 10 color printer will be interesting to see.
  16. L25500 Print Head Issues

I think as long as it is under warranty, they will replace it.
  17. L25500 Print Head Issues

I just call this number: 1-800-334-5144 (HP Tech Support) whenever I have a problem. They are always easy to work with and will send out a replacement right away. You should at least be able to get some replacements from your bad parts.
  18. L26500 Demo For sale?

This is interesting to here someone say. Haven't heard this before, haven't looked that closely at prints from the 26 yet either. I do really like the prints of my 25 though!
  19. Summa d-140 temper mental!!!

I had what sounds like a similar issue with my D140. I ran mine out of Caldera. I just upgraded mine to a S140T and LOVE it!! Well worth the money!
  20. L25500 Adhesive Vinyl shrinkage

It is straightness optimization. If you are ever in the market to upgrade your cutter, the Summa's actually print a line across the width of the print and read that as well to help correct the "bowing" in the prints on the HP Latex. I just upgraded to the S-Class T series. Expensive, but well...
