I lost a cyan head when using Solaris. The tech that replaced it said based on it's shot count, it was at about 1/4 of the expected life. That was the only thing that I could think of that caused it.
I have mine in about 850 sq. feet. When it got warmer out the other week, it jumped to about 82 back by the printer. Definitely heats it up pretty quick!
I have ran out in the middle of a print before. It prompts you to install the new one, heats back up and goes on. Never had any problems with that. Just keep an eye on it so you can change it right away so the printer cools as little as possible.
I started with a 30" SP-300 and wish I had a 54" within a month. If you can swing it, I would highly recommend a 54". I also agree with Gary, after getting a separate printer and cutter, my productivity went up big time! Not having to wait to cut things while something else is printing, or...
Well my HP runs circles around the Roland I had. The quality of the prints don't even come close. The HP blows the Roland away. It should have been pretty obvious that a new model was coming out, which is why they dropped to price to move out the older model. I was just at a show looking at...
I finally have mine coming! (My delay in getting the order in, not MegaToys) Can't wait to start playing. Any word as to what you guys are going to charge for one of these?
I just ordered some ink today and got the upset at the increased pricing. It is still cheaper than the Roland I had.
I have printed out about 15k square feet on mine and just installed the 3rd print head cleaning kit. I have ordered ink from 3+ different places too.
