That comes from what I said in another answer. The solvents in the ink actually "melt" the vinyl, making it kind of pucker up.

Actually, there are 9 of the colors that are 3 year life. And all metallics are also reduced life.

Empire is close, but has rounded, rather than square, tops for the C and A. It also has more thick and thin variation.
