Vans aren't boxy like they used to be. Rockers aren't straight and neither are rooflines. As others have said if it looks straight it is straight. Visually correct is the term I use.
I like the extra width of Kraft paper. Saves me from having to get the laminate perfectly aligned. Rolls are 900' long so only have to mess with it every 6 rolls of vinyl.
Lead edge perfectly perpendicular to the side of material?
If you answer yes to the first question then are you loading it perfectly straight?
How long of a run and at what speed? Long runs of heavy material at higher speeds will develop enough kinetic energy to throw things out of alignment...
I went to the actual armed forces websites. Lead of the project I'm putting together is a vet. He's working on getting the official okey-dokey to use the artwork.
Anything is possible. Question is are they willing to pay what the job is worth?
Personally I would run far and fast. Thousands of other ways to make money in this business without torturing yourself.
I would replace them all. By the time you find the exact match which probably isn't available...
Could punch those out in the time it takes to look for them
Pic of what you showed kinda looks like a hunk of 2x4 with dark stain.
Pipe clamps on the edges then stick the ends of the pipe clamps in jack stand bases. I know, I know, it gets the job done though.;)
The above will give you an idea of what to fab up for a more permanent solution.
I have an RS and run it at the slowest speed possible. This allows the adhesive to "wet out" better. There are lots of other things to look out for also. I've posted some tips and tricks for laminating. I'll see if a quick search pops them up.
I have Flexi, the school does not. Since the school will doesn't have Flexi I need to develop a sound process for profiling inkjet and UV printers in the lab regardless of RIP. I need input, tips and tricks of getting the most out of the i1 suite.
Thanks for the reply. At this time I won't be using Flexi. I can only use the i1 software and devices since it's what we have on campus. I need to develop a process for training and need some direction on the best place to start.
I'm thinking about printing individual CMYK blocks in ink...
New development. In my office sits a brand new i1 i0 automated chart reader and i1Pro.
Question is best place to start? Ink limits? Linearization? 20/20/20/20 gray test and measure with densitometer? We do the 20/20/20/20 deal with our Indigo.
I can and have profiled the Indigo digital...
