  1. Busy December?

Slow for me, but that's okay. Lots of stuff to catch up on. Although I already have six boats booked for next year.
  2. Market Competition for Latex equipment

Manufacturers of equipment want one thing. Marketing calls that thing an "installed base". An installed base leads to another term called "residuals". Residuals are the profit center of HP's and other similar businesses. Within the realm of HP's latex printers those residuals come in the...

All kidding aside that is a slick way to control dust.
  4. Eco Solvent Ink Dryer

If you're on a budget a couple quartz tube space heaters will work. I've done it. They have small fans in them so you get infrared heat with air circulation. Can check into auto body supply shops too. Should have all kinds of infrared heaters on stands.
  5. Good thing it's not summer!

Wow! Whole lotta nope right there.

  8. All I want for Christmas.....

YIKES!!!! That is insane money. After much debate(read waffling) I bought a 27" 6 core iMac from Costco. Couldn't beat the deal at 1400 bucks. Going to add RAM and I'll be set.
  9. Discussion How do you stay organized?

One man operation so I only take on what I can get done in a timely manner. At a previous job I learned what happens when you constantly overbook available resources. I keep track of jobs with a dry erase board, PO's, and texts. Last one is somewhat new to me and works well.
  10. New Product Which Flatbed Printer to buy?

  17. Cordless Heat Gun

Nice! Thank you for the help.
  18. Cordless Heat Gun

Pretty much instant heat. Run time will probably increase. I only held the butane canister on for 20-30 seconds. Supposed to be 60 seconds to fill completely. I bought this specifically to remove striping from boats. When we go out on a job I bring 200' of extension cord. Now I'll just...
  19. Cordless Heat Gun

Well folks my Ridgid cordless heat gun arrived yesterday. Was looking for options after I saw a test of the Milwaukee and Ryobi that ran on battery only. Both died 9 minutes in. Not useful for the type of work I do. Did a test run and so far I'm impressed. It ran for 31 minutes wide open...
