Good advice, Jim. A pounce pattern and good old masking tape. Never draw directly on the vehicle, you get marks that just don't come off. :)

Whenever I use Oramask on aluminum or aluminum composite, even if it's only on there for two minutes, I can see the ghost of the film on the substrate. I can't explain it any better than that. I would be very reluctant to put any masking or vinyl on a two day old paint job no matter what anyone...

I would give Oramask by Oracal a try. I think regular vinyl would lead to too much residue. You may get unwanted adhesive on there. I don't think automotive paint is "hot" enough to melt it but you never know. I cut masking for a buddy who does kustom paint, and he melted Avery's mask using...

I like the tighter spacing way better.

I think as long as you keep "Kitchen and Bath" all the same size/weight it will be fine. Those dashes seem to make the word AND more important than it is. Always enjoy seeing your work, Todd.

Looks pretty sweet there Joe. Are you going to topcoat the name with a lighter color to make it stand out more? It would work either way. I have only done 3 sandblasted signs in 28 years and to be honest, I hate making them. Each substrate has its own set of issues. But I like looking at them...

Yup. I think I'd like to see no dashes on either side of and, or an ampersand or even a • between Kitchen & bath.

As a general rule, if you have to squint to read the sign as a thumbnail, you may want to re-think the layout/colors etc.
