  2. vinyl for paint mask for car

Good advice, Jim. A pounce pattern and good old masking tape. Never draw directly on the vehicle, you get marks that just don't come off. :)
  3. Pittsburgh World of Wheels

So far I know of one 101er who will be attending. It's a fun time! Of course, as usual, they are predicting heavy snow for Friday.
  4. vinyl for paint mask for car

Whenever I use Oramask on aluminum or aluminum composite, even if it's only on there for two minutes, I can see the ghost of the film on the substrate. I can't explain it any better than that. I would be very reluctant to put any masking or vinyl on a two day old paint job no matter what anyone...
  5. Logo design - before and after

Guys never see the pee thing. :) I still like the golden yeller.
  6. Arial vs Helvetica

Took this test on UKSignboards this morning, got 18/20. They have another one...font or cheese? I failed miserably. Love.....Jill
  7. vinyl for paint mask for car

I would give Oramask by Oracal a try. I think regular vinyl would lead to too much residue. You may get unwanted adhesive on there. I don't think automotive paint is "hot" enough to melt it but you never know. I cut masking for a buddy who does kustom paint, and he melted Avery's mask using...
  8. Logo design - before and after

I like the tighter spacing way better.
  9. Southern Sign Expo...Interest?

Met Brother Zank at my 1st Letterhead meet in 1994, I doubt if he remembers me. I wanted to say something about this meet: Southern Muster But didn't feel authorized to do so. I wish I could afford to go. Love....Jill
  10. Got to love customers

The first thing has happened at least 300 times in 28 years, the second about 200 times, the third about 20 times, the fourth about 50 times, and the last thing ad infinitum.
  11. New Guitar with a story

That is so neat. Mom always says, if you wait long enough you get what you want, usually for free. Enjoy! Love....Jill
  12. Logo design - before and after

I think as long as you keep "Kitchen and Bath" all the same size/weight it will be fine. Those dashes seem to make the word AND more important than it is. Always enjoy seeing your work, Todd.
  13. Got to love customers

I wish I had $5 for every tire kicker who did not show up when they said they would, $10 for every customer who says they are in a hurry for a sign and leave it sit for a week after I notify them it's ready, $20 for every time I've shown up on time to meet someone to discuss their sign and they...
  14. Weeding problems

I'm thinking dull blade also, or needs more force. I've only cut Oracal, Gerber, and Calon 2 with mine. I've only changed my blade once in two years, also. Love....Jill
  15. Dimensional Background Choices

Looks pretty sweet there Joe. Are you going to topcoat the name with a lighter color to make it stand out more? It would work either way. I have only done 3 sandblasted signs in 28 years and to be honest, I hate making them. Each substrate has its own set of issues. But I like looking at them...
  16. Logo design - before and after

Yup. I think I'd like to see no dashes on either side of and, or an ampersand or even a • between Kitchen & bath.
  17. Logo design - before and after

I like it much better than what he had but would like to see the sun rays in a golden yellow. Love...Jill
  18. No Parking sign

As a general rule, if you have to squint to read the sign as a thumbnail, you may want to re-think the layout/colors etc.
  19. melted cheese from sandwich.

For some reason I'm dying for a grilled cheese. Congrats HD! Love....Jill
