What kind of van do you have?
Adrian Steel and some others make a rail system for van storage so you can slide them out when not needed..
Depending on the model of van some can be installed without drilling as the manufacturer has anchor points already set up for them.

Check out some casters at your local big box store. Should be able to find some that fit the profile of the mortar lines that are rubber coated. Rig up a single or double handle and off you go...
It's probably as safe as the stuff used to clean the bathroom or kitchen but it is an industrial process that does not really belong in a home.

After seeing the photo I agree with unclebun on the wet install. Get it lined up on the center line & put some grease pencil reference marks. Flood the hood and just mist the sticky side of the graphic. Lock the center down on the marks and squeegee it out from there before the mask has time to...
