It's a no brainer. The class is essentially free after tools and roll you get. Why not take the opportunity to learn from one of the best in the world. We host the Avery class for NY 3 times a year. I took the beginner class many years ago and then the advance class and certification about 2...
I've never had that happen on Onyx 12. Occasionally there are some PDF's that take a lot of time for their size but maybe 5 - 10 minutes max. I really try to flatten everything in photoshop and print from Tiffs for that reason.
We're closed weekends but I'm almost always in the office Saturdays. I'll make some appointments or catch up on billing or get a jumpstart on printing for Monday. We used to work all weekend, every weekend. Since then, we've managed to not really work much on weekends unless neccesary.
Just got a crazy setup Imac Pro. 10 core processor, 128 gb ram, 64gb graphics, SSD, etc. Spent almost 10 grand on it. It's better for sure but not as good as I would have hoped. Most files I work on are 2-6 gb and I'm not designing. I'm just prepping for print so a lot of cropping...
Just about to purchase an imac pro. Very tempting to go PC and save a couple grand. Imac will be about 9 grand all in with my configuration. Adobe just seems to run better on mac.
I've had QBO for a few years but I still have the sales tax center and I can still create and modify existing sales tax accounts. That really sucks about the new accounts.
I can't comment on drying times but the epson S80 was on the top of our original list to purchase. I determined that it's just not worth buying a solvent machine with white. The test prints I did at multiple shows and showrooms weren't that great with white. As far as I have seen, UV is the...
Not sure if you were referring to me but I was only giving opinions from the install side of the machine. It's an issue I hear from guys all across the country as well. I also made it clear that I'm not an expert in the machine and recommended outside research. I'm not trying to start trouble...
We've been in the process of setting up shopvox the past month or so and although I haven't actually linked in my quickbooks, I plan to by January 1st. I've had a web meeting with my rep every week and continue to learn from it. Not sure who you're dealing with but perhaps you need to speak to...
I've had a similar issue with Avery 1105 and 1360 with my roland eco-sol. Only difference is that I knew I didn't give it the proper time to outgas and also had have saturation. Regardless of that, Avery still stood behind my and replaced the roll for me.
Let me start by saying I own the RF640. This machine will not hit the colors you are trying to hit. It's a great machine and prints well but matching colors is not its strong point.
I've never been a fan of any mimaki but I just looked it up and on paper would be an excellent machine choice...
Make your own profiles. I'm not familiar with rasterlink but I would assume you can. Go get yourself an i1 densotometer and get to work. It's not quick but the results are amazing when done right. I like having individual profiles for all my medias. I just had an oki colorpainter m-64s...
I should really look into Bridge. Not sure why I never used it before. As far as original question, we have a jpg of each file in the folder as well so we can see everything in there.
Hoping for some quick help. I just had an FC8600-160 installed tonight. My roland plotter crapped out Friday so it was a move of desperation. Graphtec has a different force layout than roland. I'm hoping some of you can give me your best recommendations on force, speed, overcut, etc for a...
