  1. Roland heads- how many shot are they good for?

I think the spec is 6 billion. I've seen them go as high as 14 billion.. as low as 4 billion.
  2. 24 ft by 5 ft

Yep, over the street stuff needs to have webbing. Most municipalities have very specific requirements for over the street banners.
  3. Need a Mac...

We run PC's here, but I've got one designer who's a diehard Mac guy. He brings his own laptop in to work on, and it's just too old and slow. I'd prefer to do a desktop. The problem is I know NOTHING about Macs. What should I get? He runs Illy, PS, Indesign.. works on a lot of presentations...

  6. 200'x20' stencils..

I should've been more specific and not asked about "stencils".. I know an actual stencil that big is ridiculous (not to mention the fact I'm sure they'd freak over a $30k bill for them!). I'm going to suggest just hiring us to do the layout for them.. Thanks guys!
  7. 200'x20' stencils..

Hi guys, I've got a client that's been asked to paint some letters on a rooftop. They're a general contractor, and will be handling the painting themselves, but have asked us to produce a stencil for them. The overall size is going to be 200'x20' and 145'x20'. It's just plain Helvetica...
  8. Wanted to show off a little something we are working on.

I'd go back with some black vinyl and patch in the checkers to line up.. even if they're not 100% straight, it'll look better.
  9. Triangle Ink and Nozzel Clog??

Triangle also recommends a few drops of solvent down the cap tops at cleanings to keep the pump lines open.
  10. promotional rights?

It was my understanding that artwork creating while under employ is the property of the company that's employing. Much like a patent of an idea belongs to the company. If I found one of my guys using company work to promote a personal business, they'd be gone pretty quick.
  11. Remove eco-solvent ink from banner

Be careful--a lot of the solvents and such listed above will damage the banner material itself.
  12. Triangle Ink and Nozzel Clog??

If you're doing cleanings and not seeing a change in the test print, you most likely have a bad cap top. Don't be so quick to blame the ink, as this is most likely just a dirty head! :)
  13. Where to look for pre-owned Roland XC-540's?

    globalgarage.net and wildcatimaging.com
  14. FREE Contour Cutting!

Absolutely Doug and Doug! The whole point of this promo is you order the printed substrate from us, we're going to contour cut (or rectangle cut - think 24x18 coros) for free. The cutter is awesome. We're using for everything we thought we would plus more.
  15. How often does the encoder strip need to be replaced on an SP-540

We replace as needed, but we typically get 12-18 months out of the strips. And we run the machines hard. Encoder problems aren't typically diagnosed by fuzzy prints. You'll usually see stair stepping in the prints. Can you post a pic of the problems you're having?
  16. which silver look vinyl for acrylic letter??...

You'll want to use a metal laminate product, not vinyl for this. Ultraboard has a few options that are like a Gator product with a mirror finish.
  17. Land Rover wrap

    Yikes.. lol
