  3. How do you find good employees?

The Wonderlic test is crazy accurate.. we passed it around the shop when we started using it too. I could've told you what people would score before they took the test!
  4. Geico brostache app

    That's the best app ever!
  5. How do you find good employees?

He is pretty awesome.. If he ever quits again I'm gonna kick his ass. And yeah Fred, the Wonderlic is invaluable. We've been using the same version for about three years.
  6. How do you find good employees?

We're up to 21 people including my brother and I. Within our group, we've got absolute superstars and a few duds. The duds take a little while to figure out, and probably longer than it should take to get rid of them because we are too soft. Half the reason I don't fire people is because...

  8. ColorSpan 72UVX - What to do with used unit?

I'd probably part it out.. I wonder how many of the parts are interchangeable with the FB950. A quick google search pulled up a couple printers in the $5k range.

380 is not necessarily for complete wraps. For us, it's TOO soft, and just melts when you pull the liner. Works good on small, super complex areas, but in the overall scheme of things it's not dimensionally stable enough. 380 just doesn't compare to other standard wrap films--totally...
  10. She's finally here!

We're on 99th ave and I-10. And we've already wholesaled a few jobs. Give me a call if you need something done! Ran another 150 boards through today.. We need a couple more printers now!
  11. What went wrong !

I think the guys above are correct--failure to clean. I think that the issue was made worse by overstretching. Even if the areas are dirty, you usually won't see bad shrinkage like that after a day if the vinyl is applied in a relaxed manner.
  12. She's finally here!

We looked at the Zund, Kongsberg, Multicam, and took a quick glance at the Summa. Problem with that one is simply size. It's small--can't cut a 48x96 board. Totally out of the question for us or any other shop looking to do any real work. The Multicam is okay, but I think they've got a...

Yeah.. the tech installing it said he did a table that was overall 10'x20' a few weeks ago. That's ridiculous. Ours has a cutting area of 70x98, with a 48" extension off the back. The overall length of the table is about 16 feet.

Thanks guys. It's an L2500 (70"x98") table with a 48" table extension. Got the router (so yes, it will cut acrylic and pretty much anything else!), roll feeder (for cutting banners, vinyl, paper, etc), sheet feeder (so we can load the next sheet while it's still cutting), plus a bunch of other...
  20. flexibility of translucent vinyl(oracal 8500)

Should be fine. We have a flatbed trailer that we use, but have still had to roll polycarb for transport.
