Beware of some of the issues that might affect you if you are upgrading to CS6...many plugins will not work with CS6, for example Mimaki Finecut will not work until they come out with their upgrade in December of 2012 and Hot Door Cad Tools will not work. Also, InDesign CS6 is not backwards...
If you masked, routed and then sprayed with Krylon Fusion, that might look good. I think you're just going to have to test it and let us know how it goes.
Maybe if you told us a little more about what you discovered while reading up on the IRS rules we could start to brainstorm some ideas for you. You could always have a consultation meeting or some sort of training session with Doug for starters!
I wasn't familiar with Sign Fab but I just took a look at your link Fred, and I'm impressed. They have a very nice, informative catalog. It really pays to go through the Merchant Member list every once in a while and explore each of their websites.
Plenty of people own print/cut machines and are happy with them. Personally I would never consider a combo machine and would only recommend seperates for a number of reasons. One, you want to maintain a very clean environment around the printer but when you are cutting with it, it has to...
Cons = 30"
Pros = 54" or 60+"
You shouldn't even consider a 30" unless you do one specific and nothing else thing that a 30" will work for. If you're going to argue about the cost of a 30" vs a 54" then you should be in another business. What you should be considering is a 54" vs a 60"+...

I've always had great respect for Dave here on Signs101. We both attended the ISA show in Las Vegas last year, called each other on the phone and even stayed in the same hotel but unfortunately we weren't able to connect in person, which was something I've regretted. That has just been another...
Yea, that is one skilled pilot. Here's another job that is always one of my favorites...you'd better get a towel to keep your hands dry though before you watch it:

Use banner tape to seam the sections together, it will easily last the duration you require and the seam will almost be invisable. If you need it to break down into seperate sections for any reason, then use velcro. Of course subbing it out to get a seamless backdrop is preferred but the extra...
I guess that is essentially what it would be. This is for a start up company that wants to produce some food packaging consisting of the poly bag I'm asking about. I'm not really trying to be in the food industry but it seemed simple enough, they wanted a printed bag so I'm trying to accommodate...
Thanks, I checked them out but I don't think a promotional company product would be what I'm looking for. This is a food product package that I'm looking for, something like if you go to the store and get a bag of meatballs or frozen vegetables, which is printed 4/4. So it's a custom size...
