  2. Trouble with our Graphtec FC8000-130

Check you cutter protection strip, I'd bet it has deep gouges on the side that is cutting through. A new one is about $40US. Or your blade holder may be gunked up or failing.
  3. Issues Lining up vinyl

Your media may have been skewed slightly when you printed it.....instead of lining up the edge of your media try making sure your crops are square to each other on the platen.
  4. Double sided decal without white ink.

As others have said, sub it out, order it online whatever, if your not set up to do it, it will be far more expensive 'in-house'.
  5. 3M pricing policy strikes again

http://www.marcgunther.com/what-kind-of-company-is-3m/ The first paragraph, 55,000 products in over 200 countries, $23 billion in revenues in 2009. Wonder how much of that is vinyl sales?
  6. 3M pricing policy strikes again

I agree 100% with what you say. 3m does have some decent cast products but you pay a premium for them. The low end calendered stuff is utter garbage. Oracal has a way, way better track record in our shop.
  7. FLEXI RIP help

right-click then send and it should print, you probably sent it to 'Hold' in Rip and Print.
  8. Anyone else been extorted?

You should be doing some kind of back-up at least monthly....or go cloud based...carbonite.com is a good one, many others as well. We do an external HD back-up monthly and our NAS is mirrored off-site daily(cloud essentially), peace of mind is worth every penny.
  9. Surecolor S30670 M2 not printing

If your under warranty call Epson and you'll get a new head. If not, call Epson and start saving up about $2800 plus $175/hour travel expenses.

Liked.....a 30 year military veteran deserves a lot more that free teeth.
  17. printing on rosin paper

Might be worth a shot trying to print, I have a feeling the ink would just bleed in to the paper and generally look like a mess. I would just recommend to the customer some nice looking decals that he can place on the paper after it is laid.
  18. Graphtec Cut Path 'Drooping"

If your L25 is up to date firmware wise, you have a setting somewhere in the media menu called 'Straightness Optimization' mess around with that, it will let you get away with running some of the less expensive media as it does a fair job of compensating for the bowing effect.
  19. Graphtec Cut Path 'Drooping"

Double check the tension levers on the back side of the pinch roller assembley, should be down, up, down or all down. Is this just cut vinyl or something you printed and are now trying to contour cut? The FC-7000 is a damn good machine - hope you figure it out. Good Luck
  20. expectations of perfection and is there an acceptable amount of imperfection

per·fec·tion pərˈfekSH(ə)n/ noun noun: perfection the condition, state, or quality of being free or as free as possible from all flaws or defects. What Mark said...honestly it's not hard to lay vinyl perfectly, especially air egress. How big are the wrinkles, is there like loose vinyl...
