  1. Xante memjet "Superfast"

there is a "screen printing replacement" printer out there right now the the vutek ds, think it's just about ready for market that does 6000 square feet an hour. over the next few years these memjet heads will be improved, industrial versions will be developed, and for about much less than a...
  2. Xante memjet "Superfast"

it does print on glossy coated paper, card stock, foamcore, etc.. the dpi is off the charts. basically prints such tiny dots that they dry instantly on contact. what doesn't exist for it, i'm sure some suppliers will start making it. i read a long article about this printer and why other...
  3. Xante memjet "Superfast"

xante is there and i guarantee they will have this printer out. i hope to get a good look at it and maybe turn it into a franken-memjet. unless the price is outrageous, which it might be.
  4. Ink starvation... and Machine tune up.

i bet that "tune up" is new dampers ($8 each, 15 minutes) and cleaning out your pump (10 minutes), clean up your wiper (2 minutes).... but there's no garuantee that your starvation will go away. tell him to go home and have the board help you first diagnose what your printer is doing. it...
  5. JV3 - Wiper Error - Print heads shot????

yeah. i seal off the pump lines and soak for at least 12 hours. if it was just an over night thing, i'm betting you get all of those heads back. they may be printing like crap for the next couple of days. maybe even have two or three missing lines for a week. but it will clear up.
  6. Error 08

you mean what is the encoder sensor? a: it's the IR sensor that rests behind your head carriage that reads your encoder strip. i'd start by just blowing some air at it with one of these canned air computer cleaner cans.
  7. JV4 and JV3 Service Manuals

pm me your email address. i have them plus the latest version of the menu tree pdf.
  8. Does Mimaki JV4 - 160 support spot channels

i asked around on this a while back. you may get a much better answer over the next few days. but the answer i got for my jv3 160sp was that by using ergosoft textprint, each head could be isolated to a spot channel. now, i never looked further into it. so that advice may be right or wrong.
  9. New Cintiq 24

i've seen them rotate etc. i just dial with my left index finger and my 24" monitor/canvas rotates to match my drawing angle. i rarely have my canvas angle at 90 degrees when working. the piece is usually at about 60 to 45 and often upside down. i'm not assuming this is a better set up than...
  10. JV3 color fall off The purple monster is making me want to ripp my hair out!

over heating jv3 is not a common issue. far less than 1% of breakdowns will be over heating. you may have stumbled upon a rare fix for a rare issue.
  11. Roland XC-540 Cyan Head Malfunction

swap cyan dampers/lines and see if the issue moves. (put the working line on the non-working manifold position. also, pull a vacuum on that no working damper/line. does the membrane stay concave or relax after a minute?
  12. 3d

i picked up on rhino 3d really fast. lots of tutorials on youtube.
  13. JV3 color fall off The purple monster is making me want to ripp my hair out!

just push it over so that it crashes to the ground. ...push it forward, not backward. pushing it backward doesn't make a big of a crashy noise for some reason. it does sound like ink starvation. but that can be tricky, a leak, or clog in a whole lot of places can cause this. first you have...
  14. New Cintiq 24

i don't think you are supposed to swivel the tablet. you just rotate the canvas with the dial at the edge. i have the intuos4 extra large. the whole thing is 24.5" x 18". when you are doing crosshatchy stuff you just dial in the right canvas angle and your monitor images rotates to match the...
  15. Xanté launches super fast inkjet

looks like a no nonsense industrial machine! the guts of the machine can be seen in the second half of this video. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0ImC9gnuwBc it seems with this arrangement, and adjustable platen height would be a really simple addition. after reading up on the printer, they...
  16. Valuejet 1604/One9060

"banding" is one or a combination of things. common banding is because your media is being advanced at an incorrect rate. but also, banding can because by "beading" (not enough dot gain of your ink, thus the strips of ink repell away from each other). and "bleading" the ink having too much...
  17. Wet Installation Help

i don't do wet applications, but if you want the best off the shelf non-sudsing surfactant, that would be bissel hard floor cleaner (for their cleaning machines, available a walmart).
  18. URGENT - Mimaki JV3 160s printhead - can I disable one of 3?

that is weird, i think i saw that a few years back on my printer. so when you did the data swap, and moving the head, the issue follows the same side of that head? also, do you have a proxy head that you can just plug in and attempt to boot. as far as your electrical problems, i'd get all the...
  19. URGENT - Mimaki JV3 160s printhead - can I disable one of 3?

do a data swap next time, you don't have to take out heads to move data (illus. shows sp model). the only way you are going get that printer working is if you have a proxy head. that is, a clogged or mechanically damaged head that is electronically fine. put the head in the lmlc position...
  20. Getting Started at home

make sure there are no fire breathing veteran sign makers within 50 miles of you. this is a competitive industry and your kung fu will not be good enough to survive. it would be no different if you just woke up and said "i want to be a shrimp boat captain!" or "...a pastry chef!" there is...
