this is a really great design. i was thinking about tearing apart a couple inversion tables (the thing you hang upside down to stretch your back). and make some lightweight rotisserie tables. you can buy locking hardware kits off of ebay used for the automotive rotisseries. but this design...
no. your new caps probably aren't sealing well or something and the heads are getting dry. search under "head soak" and such. there's lots of diagnosis after the soak to figure just what happened. but first protect those heads and then you can move to isolating the problem.
the real deal would be to design something in photoshop (non-vector). then print out a, say, red and white version. then use the inkling to trace it. i could design organic tool paths really easily with this compared to a mouse or stylus. just draw around on your page where you want the cnc...
i wouldn't leave white "in the lines". but if and when the white becomes an option you could use that plumbing and just pull the fifth damper over to your black channel and print white from there. that's what i do.
i predominantly .040 aluminum in my mimaki. even up to 5x10 @ .060 (that's a heavy sheet). as long as your head clears you should be fine. doesn't the epson somewhat feed the sheet "down hill" into the printer. if so you should have no problem. if you can turn off your platen vacuum, do...
i do tons of deep aluminum etching. just do a lot of testing. and as far as the smooth vs. pebbled etch, you'd be surprised by how attractive the pebbled surface looks when compounded. i'd also suggest, doing the etch first. then peeling off your entire resist and sinking the part for...
sounds like you are discussing melimine
Medium Density Fiberboard (MDF)
MDF is made by breaking softwoods down into individual fibers, which are then glued and pressed together. MDF is denser than particle board and has a smooth finish that takes paint very well, making it a great choice for...
keep them small, there is no way the engineers went through all that trouble unless they tried it the other way with issues. ...i figure it's just a bit too tight when they added the fourth head going from the s model to the sp. tygon absorbs solvent. it doesn't melt, but it does take it on...
i'm about to do the separate waste line. i figured i would only be dealing with a small amount of added cleaning solution that i occasionally put down the dampers. but yes, it is frustrating to think that these printers toss so much ink. ...about $100 a month. when i separate my lines, i'm...
okay. in that case do not worry about cartridges, lines, dampers, o-rings, fittings, etc. all of that is working fine. did you go through the diagnostic 1-7 earlier mentioned. was there anything out of the ordinary?
the main one to blame is epson. they are a terrible company when it comes to caring about the customer's margin on the equipment side. finally canon has stepped up and offered a better waterbased machine. with HP's latex machine doing well, maybe we finally have the "competition" that never...
first is it all the colors or does it seem to be a single color? there are many ways to isolate the issue, but first the color that is starving has to be identified.
@iegrafxs
...i've noticed a certain lack of "help my L25500" is clogged/banding etc. do the heads have that nozzle out compensation? also, what's the price on a head and i've heard it's a
"plug in" head and easily callibrated.
even though i've had a roland and mimaki. i've seen the HP latex machine. as ugly as it is, ...it is a far better engineered printer/ink combination. if you don't look at the HP, you didn't actually research your options.
@inkmed i appreciate your input. for some reason in the USA, there is this extreme resistance to chinese suppliers. i say, why wouldn't a massive country like china not have legitimate suppliers? ...like grimcos here in the US. from what i've seen, and maybe you can add to this list, your...
is it a local business. does it say anything about the customer. i tend to believe that most advanced marketing says more about the customer than the trademan. if this business does residential, show a clean graphic of a home with a cord/plug going to it. if it's for commercial show modern...
what alloy? 3003? 5052? if it's 3003 you are going to have difficulty compared to other alloys.
and go single flute with any fluid you can get you hands on, even soapy water in a squirt bottle works fine.
...aftermarket dampers, wipers, fittings, carts, triangle ink, chips i've never had an issue. in fact, i've seen head manifolds that are far better constructed. but the pump just doesn't seem to be a good idea.
for instance, i just got this catalog in my mail today from special color.
dx4 solvent $625 (don't know what the exchange rate is but i figure the dollar is responsible for a good part of he discount).
