  1. CLEANING DIBOND MATERIALS? for our cat

you might try some automotive pre-cleaners. painter's pride makes a 96 series pre-cleaner (many blends for different dyne levels and cleaning needs, 9601,9604,9655 there may be more). what you are fighting is random dyne levels caused by static, oxidation of your surface, residue, grease from...
  2. Ink lines from cartridge to the head are empty.

my favorite method for checking the cap alignment was something i picked up off this board. paint the top of the caps with black solvent ink. then gently park the carriage onto the capping station at top dead center. then pull the carriage off to the left again and with a flash light...
  3. Ink lines from cartridge to the head are empty.

you also replaced the manifold, right?
  4. jv3 keeps running, but stops printing!!

you must have a serious encoder situation. you said the image is shifting very badly. the image data may be shifting right off into oblivion. and the rip is cropping the data out. inspect your encoder for damage or ink, etc. also blow some air at your encoder sensor.
  5. JV 5 Service Manual

sending you 17 other maintanence documents for the jv5 as well. if you stlll need the manual i have the 2.10 but it's 47 megabytes.
  6. Attention HP l25500 owners!

with the discussion going toward ease of use, ...knowing that the printhead is easy to replace, i was curious out much one cost. so i googled it. $110.00!!! that is insane. surely hp knows the market will bare a higher price. that's a huge advantage compared to us piezo guys sticking with...
  7. Offered partnership, need advice.

...one thing that i can't wrap my head around is with the front office/sales/marketing out of my hands because that is the partner's side... how do i enforce what is a "good" job, or a "proper project", or the right sales doctrine. i can't exactly go fire/replace someone that i don't think...
  8. JV4 and JV3 Service Manuals

pm me your email address. i have both.
  9. Ink lines from cartridge to the head are empty.

turn off all noise making things (a/c, pc's, etc). pull a vacuum with a syringe from below the cap and listen for an air leak. if you have an automotive stethoscope that would be ideal. but you call also use your good old ear, or a tube to that location. there are a lot of ways isolate this...
  10. Mimaki jv3-130 width errors

yes it can pop out of the bracket then lean diagonally. it will still read the media, but since it is an an angle the known position is wrong compared to the head. double sided 3m tape is good for more solid stick. as mentioned, i took mine off and now my reader is attached directly to the...
  11. new pumps

sorry but that last sentence just didn't make any sense. as far as which pump, you can trace the cap top tubes to the correct pump line to the pump.
  12. JV3 ink pumps question

just the tube inside the pump for me. my mimaki oem pumps are five years old and work perfect. as far a clogs. just dump solvent down the cap and have a partner pull at the waste line. no need to remove anything.
  13. Offered partnership, need advice.

it's not just capitol. if that was it, i'd just go slow and build up. it's the ability to get to the architectural board meetings in months with the capitol to court the $200,000 order instead of the $15,000 small potatoes job from the same project. i could go slow, but tech and mergers are...
  14. The Fisherman

i love this story. retiring sounds like years of complete boredom. i watched my grandfather retire and wasn't pretty. he was miserable.
  15. JV-33 suddently no magenta value in my prints

yeah. cleaning cycle (soft, normal, strong on my jv3). usually a normal cleaning will pull the ink back in if everything is operating properly. and always, it's better to "pull" ink into the head and not push. it's very common for printer owners to have access to the drain lines of the...
  16. I hate my landlord, can someone help

here's a screen capture from a head replacement manual for a mimaki. it shows the general set up for the syringe. if you want, i can email you the entire manual which will give you a better idea of how the heads are screwed in and the removal of the dampers, etc. aa
  17. I hate my landlord, can someone help

you mean the manifold. there are a couple ways. the most common is to fix a damper to a line that is about a foot long. then attach a syringe to the other end of the line and gently push cleaning solution into the head manifold. you have to be very gentle because the head doesn't like...
  18. JV-33 suddently no magenta value in my prints

first off do a damper swap to see if you have a supply issue. just put the adjacent dampers (the cyan?) to the manifold. do a cleaning cycle. if the cyan prints from the magenta position, then you have a supply issue at the magenta. if the cyan will not print from the magenta manifold...
  19. Offered partnership, need advice.

? i'm confused at this point. maybe we should avoid figurative speech and stick just saying what we mean?
  20. Photoshop - scale layer effects.

in photoshop, you can do the two moves separately. say you blow up your image 200% or downsample it 50%.... go to layers/layer style/scale effects a little window will open up and you can choose your percentage. click okay and all your effects will increase or decrease accordingly. it's...
