  1. Question what is very clean 540sc needing heads worth?

Be aware of that a SC-545 is at minimum 13 years old, and if you need a complete set of heads, this machine needs 6 (!) heads, 12 (!) dampers, 12 (!) new ink tubings, 12 (!) new ink cartridges, 6 (!) new Cap Tops, 3 (!) new pumps and so on. And from your VP540, you will go one generation back...
  2. Need Help HP Latex 310 Barcode Printing through Onyx

Depending on the firmware-version of your printer and the onyx version (it will work with 12, not shure about 11), you can select an option named "continuous printing" in the media options. Then it will print continuously without drying pauses.
  3. Wheres my ONYX cut files going?

Do you do mean barcode cutting through OPOS Barcode/Summa? Which Version of thrive do you use? Older Versions (12.x and older) of Onyx Cut Server can't serve the cutting files for the cutter themselves, the files needs to be "plotted" into files to which Summa Cutter Control have access to...
  4. Not getting black and cyan on my SP300V

You print red when building up black with Cyan, Magenta and Yellow, and Cyan is missing. You should print a nozzle test. Could be for example that the left cap top is clogged, or something of this kind.
  5. Need Help Onyx Production House Profiling Problem- ICC Swatch errors

Could be that if the background isn‘t white (you said that you want to profile aluminium), it will lead to misreading of colours. As long as only a few colours have this problem, I would not take care.
  6. Roland XC-540 Disconnected.. HELP!

I would check the IP-Adress of your Versaworks PC if it is still in the same subnet with the printer (first 3 number groups identical, the fourth different). Regularly the printer is used with a fixed IP, while PC‘s are often configured for DHCP ... if there are changes in the network...
  7. Color management Don’t laugh

Regularly, if calibrating all machines carefully, you will have maximum color accuracy for each machine, what should lead to near conformity of the output of all printers. But there is still potential for color deviation because of different color gamuts of the printers and inks. There are...
  8. Using 2 Identical Plotters on one computer | Production Manager

It is not a hardware problem, it is a software problem. Both plotters needs to be recognized separately, but they will conflict if they are the same.
  9. Anyone with 560/570 have any luck with double sided printing?

I have switched off the RIP-Controls, does it always through the printer controls. The sensor who scans the line is the OMAS-Sensor, a little rectangle who flashes red while printing below the media (does feed calibration too). A little mark on the back side where the lack line is would help...
  10. Using 2 Identical Plotters on one computer | Production Manager

With Summa, it is possible to connect up to 4 plotters with USB to one computer by setting it to USB1 to USB4 in the USB-CLASS Menu. Perhaps there is such a possibility on your cutters too.
  11. HP Latex + Built in Color calibration

You can‘t edit any ICC-Profile, you need the measured values to create a new one with different settings. And you dont have this values from profiles not made with the onyx profiler. Check your greys under daylight ... could be a big difference.
  12. HP Latex 370 - Auto Cut Substrate

You need to set a sheet media instead of a roll media (you could create one in the printer properties through „Manage Printers“), and select that media when printing. The length isn‘t important as long as only one copy of your posters will fit on that sheet ... it will be cutted after the print...
  13. Need Spectrophotometer for Onyx

If needed, the Barbieri can be used with the i1 Profiler Software too. We have a standalone licence of i1 profiler, no idea what this will cost. We have an i1, a Spectropad and a Spectro LFP in our company ... whenever possible I prefer using the LFP.
  14. Need Spectrophotometer for Onyx

A suggestion will depend on what printer and media you use. If you want to make profiles for vinyl or paper only, a XRite i1 Pro is ok (you don't even need special software if using Onyx for calibration). Find information here: https://www.xrite.com/categories/calibration-profiling/i1basic-pro-2...

  17. laminate is too thick

You need to use calendered vinyl and laminate for your application. And yes, this media is not cheap.
  18. Question cutting smaller media than machine size

You can print any media size between 500 and 1372mm ( 280 to 1372mm when using small media mode)
  19. Need Help Cross contamination SP-300i, Help!

When replacing the dampers, the following is important: Pull them carefully vertically upwarts from the connectors at the printheads manifold, because otherwise the connectors could break. Put the new ones carefully back in place. The ink will move back through the ink tubes. The most secure...
