  1. Logo Critique for a Friend of a Friend

While I agree that the logo is pretty bad as is, I do think that it could be 'tweaked' enough to become acceptable and at the same time save the guy's pride. :) But the fish has to go. lol.
  2. Custom Rug Logo and Card

Thanks guys. How about a different color scheme?
  3. Custom Rug Logo and Card

This is for a company that makes custom area rugs. There will be a back to the card as well giving more contact info. This will also double as a hangtag.

  7. Need Help with Logo Design

What kind of a look does she want? Classic? Fun? Funky? Vintage? What age range does she fall into? Who is her target market?
  8. wind load calculation

Well, it all boils down to the fact that without a windload calculation, you're not going to get approval for this sign. Period. That's the cities regulations, I'm pretty sure you're not going to change them over an $800 sign. So you have 2 choices: 1. Let someone trained (an engineer) do the...

    Maybe this will help... http://signcost.org/winds.html
  10. wind load calculation

If it's required by your city codes, it's definitely an option. :D If you calculate wind loads, it'll need an engineers stamp anyway, so just let him do it.
  11. wind load calculation

    Yep, call an engineer. :)
  12. What do you think of this equipment?

Well, if you're convinced it's a good move, go for it! Like I said, it can be very lucrative. Look around on screenprinters.net. Do lot's of research before buying a press. DO NOT try to save a few hundred on a press. Get a good solid unit that holds registration well. I've heard good things...
  13. What do you think of this equipment?

Think long and hard before you jump into screen printing. It's the most frustrating thing I've ever done for a living. But it did end up being the most rewarding. If you don't have the time or patience to learn this, just sub it out. Like was mentioned, the market is saturated to the point that...
  14. Critique my beer logo.

It's a great looking logo. I would personally ditch the serpentine font. It really doesn't fit the style, and I think you have one too many fonts going on there. Try using the same font as "BREWING". Also, the tagline font isn't working at all (is that really avant garde?) and should be...

  17. Buying a used plotter ... what should i ask/need to know before

Copams are supposed to be good plotters. I'm sure it would serve you well. However, I think you can get a brand new Copam for about $650. I wouldn't even consider buying a used one unless it was $300 or less.

We have those here in Mexico too. They are really, really good. Addicting too. :D But if you can't get them, a jar of Nutella should fix you craving.
