    id try one of those erasers....i only ever used it once, and it made a mess, but it was on a similar job....really old vinyl that didn't want to come off nicely/quickly/easily....the eraser made the job go much faster...

  5. Cutting mats - To Grid or Not to Grid?

    we got one a few years back and got the grid...i can count on one hand the amount of times i've used the grid....looking back, it was a waste....the cutting mat on the other hand...couldn't ask for a better "bang for your buck"

    there are times that i get a color in just for one customer and don't use the whole roll...i'll save it for later use, but pretty much anything over 3years on my shelf and i'm checking it to make sure the tack is still there, it weeds nicely, and even then, i try to only use it on "temp" signage...
  7. Remove vinyl or cover over it??

    if the customer expects the new stripes to last the 6-7 years, strip and remove the old stuff....if you dont, as soon as the material underneath begins to fail, the new stuff you put on top will fail... personally, just because it's an avery vinyl underneath i wouldn't risk NOT stripping it off...

    depending on the material of the shirts, i'd either beef up the fonts and choose new ones... if it's a pique material, the threads gonna get sucked in...
  9. corel photo paint??

    i use photopaint cause i don't have photoshop....most of the photoshop tutorials can be followed in photopaint just sometimes the tools aren't in the same place....

  13. Omega doesn't seem to handle exporting .eps files easily.

    same as marlene here....and i don't have 2.6 loaded anymore to even try...are you exporting or saving as?? i've found that sometimes the save as feature works better than the export..
