definitely needs NEW fonts...and i think this is a card that would work better in a portrait layout....
i don't like that the #s don't line up with the name....it just doesn't sit right
can barely ready "commercial and residential"...
ditto on the overused maltese....but if it must be used...
i started working for my aunt in 2001...a year later, her older brother returned to ask for a job....i remained employed for another year before walking out because i couldn't stand him....aside from being the least productive person EVER, he was constantly "playing games" and not funny haha...
when i lived at home, i helped my mom wrap all the xmas presents and she used to make me wrap my own...she'd box it up, i'd wrap it , and she'd slap the label on...
i LOVE wrapping presents....but i love unwrapping them and then re-wrapping them so no one knows i was snooping more.... ;P
i do a similar thing....customer tells me what they're interested in (i get a deposit), then find a few files that i know will work for production and that are close to what the customer wants, and email them links....ive found if you leave it up to the customer to get the artwork and bring it...
i use pc of flat steel that's 'bout half a foot longer than the sign...mount to the sides of the sign (paint to match), then mount the flats to your posts....
some how i lost the smart edit on this file, and for the life of me i can't think of the name of this font....that's what i get after a three day weekend i guess....
have an antique shear here....it cuts 080, but you have apply all your weight, and really jump on it.....it's 36in and i wouldn't really want anything bigger.....for me, the 52in would be overkill...
i second this....i always use denatured alcohol and have never had an issue...
i've used it on a vehicle that my customer clearly stated they had rainx on the window....scrubbed it real good until there were no streaks, then did a nice soft wipe...never had an install fail
that's when i politely explain that they are more than welcome to stop by and view a printed or digital copy in our shop...
actually...i've found that i can drag most "password protected" pdfs right into composer in perfect vector....
deposit was only $60, not half....obviously we didn't start production on the box itself...only did sketch work...but it was still a couple hours invested with the design and revisions...
i know it's a live and learn kinda thing...just wondering what you guys would say if this was your customer...
if you're using pdfs...either make sure you insert the design as a low res jpg, or make sure you save the pdf as a low res file...i use primo pdf and keep my output resolution as 72dpi...
reason: a pdf is a vector file...if you send a regular exported pdf, it's a perfect vector file for the...
i agree gino...i wasn't involved in most of the process...my boss quotes these jobs and usually does the designs for them....i think it was pretty much left at "no, we're not giving you back your deposit. here's a receipt for your records."
aside from us noting that he didn't own the design...
for a sketch, we only take $60, and had more time in then the $60 was worth....
originally, the guy asked if he could get his deposit back and we said no....but never gave him the rights to the design....since the $60 didn't cover all the time involved....
Edited to Add: it was not billed out...
we have a customer that we quoted an illuminated box sign....customer said do sketch and gave deposit on drawing....did drawing, make a revision....and waited and waited and waited.....finally the customer got back to us and said he decided to get the sign with one his clients instead (he's a...
