im going to blame it on the oxidation. If you wipe with towel and alcohol does any white residue come off on towel? if so its the oxidation. we clean old surfaces with soft scrub and a loofah, rinse and then spray alcohol, its a pita but it works

its possible to wipe with laquer thinner or acetone and then you would have to buff out the faces from them being cloudy or hazed. Buy new faces and avoid the frustration. I have been there and done that

I tell you one thing that may help those TIFF pics are pointless take each tiff pic and convert to jpeg in another screen and then drag them back to your layout, there is nothing wrong with using jpeg......as far as your layout do NOT make it to size but scale it down considerably. save at 300dpi
