  1. Versa Camm SP 300 - Color Rip - Browns looking Green

My guess would be that the profiles are off. The quick and easy fix for this job would be to increase magenta, decrease cyan, or both. I haven't used ColorRIP in years.. in Versaworks, it's as simple as moving the sliders in the color adjustments tab. As for the difference you see inside vs...
  2. DTG printer

We had a TJet, and hated every minute of it. We were told by the tools over at US Screen that we just weren't using the machine enough, but even during long production runs we had nothing but problems. That was an expensive endeavor.
  3. Idea

I'd check into patenting it first.. If it's what I'm remembering. You don't want anyone else taking the idea and running.
  4. sliding pegboard addition

    Nice!
  5. Do you need the DOT COM?

Owning plurals and common mispellings is a good idea too. We own customautowraps.com, and I always get email for Jack at customautowrap.com. Luckily, I'm friendly with Jack and just forward the messages to him. Just imagine what could happen if your emails ended up in the wrong hands..
  6. Do you need the DOT COM?

What about losing the <graphics> part? tattoodanonline.com?
  7. When to pay commission?

No, commission off the gross. Calculating profit on every job would require hiring an extra person just to do that. No thanks. Prices are high enough to justify paying commission to get the sales.
  8. Do you need the DOT COM?

What about <your name>online.com? Or <yourname>web.com? We just bought a few domains to market to the national market.. Url's are all about easy to remember, spell and find.
  9. Whats this set-up worth?

I was gonna say less than a grand.
  10. Do you need the DOT COM?

Yes. Businesses should have a simple url, ending in .com. Otherwise you open yourself up to issues like you're having.
  11. HP Latex Printer- how many 220v?

Keep in mind, running a single large breaker and then just splitting it in two is defeating the whole purpose of the breaker. Let's say the main line for the printer is pulling 8 amps, and then there is a large spike on the heater line to 25 amps.. You'll fry the heater, and never trip the...
  12. Discounts for Charities or Non-Profits??

That's awesome! Lol We give discounts/freebies as we see fit. Very seldom are they given to people who ask for them. I had a truck driver come in last Friday. We were slammed. We've been slammed, and our typical while you wait service for truck drivers has all but ceased. I saw him pull...

3rd party inks are CHEAPER... But they're not for everyone. If you're moving some high volume and maintaining your printers correctly, the savings can be significant. We save about 50-60% by using Triangle Inks. That 50-60% can buy quite a few replacement parts, although we've switched...
  14. Used vp540 - lots of ink on printer bottom - should i buy?

The 17k on the used machine does seem very high to me also.
  15. Tale of Newbie Roland Woe

If you decide to fix it, Peter above can help. You mention Idaho, but your profile says you're in Gilbert. He's local here in Phoenix.
  16. vehicle prep

Cleaning is a three step process. 1) Use a heavy duty solvent cleaner that can cut through tar, grease, adhesive, etc. This can be Xylol (common brand name of xylene), most adhesive removers (we use Rapid Remover) work well. This step can be skipped if there is no heavy soil present...
  17. What do you pay for tax preparation?

S corp here, and returns only are $300. Bookkeeping is a separate company/charge.
  18. Used vp540 - lots of ink on printer bottom - should i buy?

Without seeing photos of the ink you're describing, I wouldn't be too worried about it. One of our machines has a slight misalignment of the wiper cover, which sometimes allows splattering of ink inside the machine. No problem at all, but it looks messy. To be honest though, if you're...
  19. roland head cleaning

Have you tried pulling ink through with a syringe? Pull the line off the pump, attach a syringe, and try pulling some ink through. If you get air instead of ink, you're not getting a good seal at the cap top. Probably time for a new one.
  20. Al Checca

Keep yer head up Al. Good luck!
