  1. When to pay commission?

Thanks everyone. What Chris said above is exactly what we're doing.
  2. ok here we go again BANDING

Can you post up a pic of what's happening, and then a test print immediately after? Sounds like dampers, but the pics should tell us for sure, and exactly what heads are having the problems.
  3. Okay... Who took my straight edge?

I was heading out to a small install last week, and needed our plastic folding table that we setup to lay stuff out on while onsite. I spent literally 30 minutes looking all over the back room for it and nothing. I was just about to walk out the door and go buy another one, when I realized...
  4. When to pay commission?

Let me clarify a little bit. Our sales staff is salary (a nice salary, actually) plus commission, with bonuses for reaching incremental weekly sales goals. Ideally, they would concentrate on outside sales, going after new clients and growing our overall customer base and sales. Right now...
  5. Longest lasting Digital printing?

I wouldn't even worry about the vinyl. The ink will fade long before the vinyl fails if you're using good materials, and they're caring for it properly (think a silicone based wax). No way I'd guarantee something for 15 years. I'd fully expect that it would never come back, as after five...
  6. v works

Only way that might work is to use a file retrieval program on the Versaworks/input a or /input b folders.
  7. Economical wrap kit for box trucks

3M IJ40C with 8518 Mactac Gruv729 with 3648 lam Both of these combos work well on box trucks.
  8. When to pay commission?

For those of you who have commissioned sales people, what determines a commissioned sale? For instance, we have many clients that have been around for awhile. I've developed them, Jason's developed them, but sometimes others take orders. Would they be entitled to the commission at that point...
  9. ISA Las Vegas, Who is going?

Haven't missed a major show since we started. We'll be there.
  10. Fellers

I've got nothing but good things to say about Fellers. They have one of the most comprehensive product lines, a very informative, well organized catalog, 50+ offices, and have basically everything we use within a day's shipping. We spend a lot of money on supplies. We negotiate prices on...
  11. Wall wrap

The product you want is actually IJ8624 for a base film and 8524 for the lam. Not 8580. 8580 is made for use with IJ380. MacTac's RoughWrap works well too. Keep in mind you MUST use the proper tools and techniques for any of the films to work. Tools are about $400 for one set including...
  12. No Yellow

Chances are you have a bad cap top.. With the heads in the parked position, try to pull a vacuum on the line coming from the yellow head. If you suck air, you have a bad cap. Replace with a new and you should be good to go.
  13. XC-540 Overspray! I Need Help!!!!

Head height can absolutely (and most likely is) be your problem. The test prints don't show signs of a failing head. Failing heads won't necessarily show problems on a normal test print. If you do a test print in service mode, or the bi-di test, it is very obvious if there's a problem. Most...
  14. Ordered an HP LX 800

I don't use Macs... One of my designers has one, but we generally use PCs, and I've used them my whole life. How does Linux compare to Windows? I guess it really doesn't matter, as it would only be a RIP station, but still... Also, it might be nice to run both the FB950 and the LX 800 on...
  15. Ordered an HP LX 800

Basically it's a size difference. The 800 has the ink collector for printing unlined fabrics. That's about it. Do you need to print 10'?
  16. XC-540 Overspray! I Need Help!!!!

Do the tests like the others have mentioned. If it's the head, you'll know for sure immediately. Post up the results of the bi-di test.
  17. We need an updated "show us your shop" thread

Man Mike, how the heck do you get by with 9000 sf? We have 6600 and are tripping all over ourselves. Of course our install bay is about 2500 sf, so we have about half the production/finishing/office space as you do. We're currently talking with our landlord to see if they'll let us move into...
  18. Ordered an HP LX 800

Pulled the trigger last week... just gotta find somewhere to put this monster. It should be here in about four weeks. We can't wait!
  19. 3m certification OEM required

The UASG has what is the fairest, most structured testing & set of requirements out there. Their testing, from the onsite interview to he hands on/written test, to references are all based on a points system. Get enough points and you pass. Not enough and you fail. Chris, I believe I...
