When you say normal encoder strip problems, what do you mean? What are the exact symptoms?

Don't know about the yellow band.. that's weird. As for the magenta cast, your profiles are off. Long answer is to have profiles built or build them yourself. Short answer is to increase cyan and decrease magenta.

How are you loading the media? Are you using all of the pinch rollers?

I'd ask for higher quality files then.. There's not much else you can do.

Print as is or get higher res prints.. You can try a median filter, but it's not perfect.
