  1. Who to use for shipping freight?

It's just one piece of Gatorboard with routered letters on it. Weighs about 25 lbs total. One piece per store, scattered all over the place. Jiarby: I just talked to Thomas and he said they typically use FedEx Freight to ship their out of town stuff. Thanks guys!
  2. Who to use for shipping freight?

I've got a franchise that we handle that is now expanding beyond AZ. I've got to ship 96x48x6 boxes that are very lightweight to their new locations, but UPS Freight wants $200 to go the next state over. They're too big to go on standard UPS. Who are you guys using for this stuff? Thanks...

  4. The Return of Arlo...

    Welcome back Arlo!
  5. Encoder Strip Problems-Help

When you say normal encoder strip problems, what do you mean? What are the exact symptoms?
  6. XC 540 ????will print vector but will not print a photo with out a red/magenta cast

Don't know about the yellow band.. that's weird. As for the magenta cast, your profiles are off. Long answer is to have profiles built or build them yourself. Short answer is to increase cyan and decrease magenta.
  7. XC-540 Media Walking

Make sure the media roll is tight on the core, the flanges are in the core all the way and evenly, and the flanges are on the bottom rollers evenly. Pull the media through the machine, gently pulling on the center of the roll and then lower the pinch rollers. There will be times when it's just...
  8. XC-540 Media Walking

How are you loading the media? Are you using all of the pinch rollers?
  9. canvas prints

I'd ask for higher quality files then.. There's not much else you can do.
  10. canvas prints

Print as is or get higher res prints.. You can try a median filter, but it's not perfect.
  11. Van Install ONLY your cost

I'd definitely counter offer instead of bowing out alltogether. There's a chance they'll take it and you can make some decent coin.
  12. Getting paid for your work

Deposit up front. Billed hourly, and if you think you're going to go over the budgeted design time, let the client know as soon as you think that. That alone will usually help them decide on what they want. If not, you're covering your butt for when you go to them and tell them that you need...
  13. Van Install ONLY your cost

Alone is very different. I wouldn't recommend a job like this for a one man shop. Even if you could do four a day, you'd be looking at eight weeks of doing nothing but these vans. That'd be sure to piss off every other customer you have. Not a good thing, unless you'd like to make $35k over...
  14. CMYK and pantone colors displaying as rgb in coreldraw

Is the document setup as RGB or CMYK?
  15. Van Install ONLY your cost

Very, very different if you're doing this by yourself or having your employees do it. Jobs like these, where installers will be busy for weeks get discounted.
  16. Your website?

Joe, that gallery is sick. Love the background too.
  17. I hate some people.....

We had a jackwagon charge back a card for a wrap we did a few months ago. Knew he was going to be a problem when he dropped the truck off. Kept telling us he was worried about his tools being stolen. When we assured him we have a secured, indoor, video monitored bay, he said he was worried...

  19. LX 800 finally here

That's sweet Mike. We've been looking at this one too, but it'll probably have to wait until after we get a Zund on board.
