  1. Am I crazy or is 4OVER trying to get "over" on me

You are 100% correct Lindy. It's not up to the wholesaler to decide what you want. It's up to the designer to submit correct artwork, which you did. Like Typestries, us smaller wholesale shops would pick up the phone and call you if we weren't 100% certain of what to do. For those of you...

I used one of my fancy dancy automatic sign painters to make some signs with a guy's wife in some rather revealing poses once. He had us put them on the side of this truck. I told him I wouldn't do it.. until she came in and asked me to.
  14. Coreldraw publish to PDF -selection only - without page -

If you're experiencing large file sizes in .eps files, try unchecking the "include tif header" box at the top of the dialog box. This will reduce the .eps file size dramatically.

You use the Vcat too much man! We should totally patent using your finger to install vinyl. And while we're at it, let's start bottling WrapJuice for all those late night installs!
  16. 3m certification OEM required

As Mike said, there are two certs from 3M. There are two others (there are others, but these are the more recognized, respected programs) (Professional Decal Application Association (PDAA, administered by SGIA), and Lowen Certified. Since 3M is the topic here, that's what I'll focus on. 3M...

The guys above who mentioned people not charging enough for their wares hit the nail on the head. I don't care if you're painting with a brush, cutting vinyl on a plotter, or printing full color, you need to make money. Period. Sure, there may be less overhead for a painter, but at the...

Either way.. we've had really good success printing direct to aluminum.

Man, that sucks. While it is an inconvenience to you and your customer (not to mention the awning guys), they do have an obligation (and insurance!) to make it right. Everything will work itself out.
