OK I forgot to mention that I have about 2000 offcuts of 12" x 24" coro that has been sitting around...This is why...cause I cheap and want the stuff used up!!!! lol
Not so Pat... I just got off the phone with my buddy who was a GF sales rep and it seems the premium concept digital vinyl by General Formualtions is indeed water based.
I have used that for over 6 years with no issues so I guess the stuff is fine.... as to the why use water and soap?
Every 4...
OK, lets take it a step farther...because the adhesive is a water based formula...what would happen if I were to use soap and water to put them down on coro and let dry. Would the stuff peel off early or resolidify and stick as normal.
I really dont understand why they are changing to this...
My Proveer location has a calendered vinyl with a block out grey adhesive which has a water based adhesive.
What are the ramifications of using this product for temporary or short term signage and decals in general?
I must be a little to rough with my laptops adaptor and have gone through 3 in 4 years.
I would toss the laptop but it is my personal machine and my beloved Itunes is in there and it is a dogs breakfast to try and replicate it all in a newer machine. trust me I have tried and there is always...
I found the adhesive on the clear tape was far to aggressive and had trouble removing it without damaging the graphic. I also found that some smell like crap when you unrolled them.
I still use it inhouse for close registrated stuff, but very seldom
OH so you are using a plotter designed to cut the graphics from the machine that prints it? if thats the case, then I see no issue with it, especially if you can save a few dollars
Can you describe the process of how you would set up the file so that you can cut it in your plotter? Do you put a small dot somewhere at the lower right corner to start the plotter off on so it knows where to cut.
I think it is feasable if you allow a large enough bleed if necessary and...
Why would you want them in the first place....they are cheap and even when they get a cheap price they keep looking... move on...forget about them...
I understand how it is annoying, but if the competition thinks they can do it, then go for it.... They will learn one way or the other that they...
I too was in need of this product but my dealer only would sell a full roll, which basically means it will sit for a long time before I may use it again...if ever.
I did however find that Proveer had a 25 yard roll of the Avery product (MPI 2611) which is designed for walls as well. This way...
First off, I never understand why we get upset about low ballers....If you have been in business for any reasonable amount of time, your customers, if they are loyal and trust you, should never have to really continually check pricing against other sign shops.
A comfort level usually exists...
I have both Summa d140 and a graphtec fc4100... The Summa looks cheaper but dont let looks deceive you. Sometimes the Summa has trouble finding the registration marks but usually it is the laminate being a bit to silvery or the print being to fresh, but there are ways to make it find them...
This will sound dumb, but my prints look speckled sometimes when running lower resolutions. Certain colours become more grainy looking at 320 x 720...but only sometimes
Max comes in almost every day that I do. He loves it here and greets everyone who comes in the door. being a Corgi, he is not to intimidating.
As mentioned in another post, he absolutely loves the spray air guns I have around the shop. I am not sure what joy he gets from them, but if you...
I use earth magnets for lining up graphics on cars these days and you would be surprised how hard they hold to most vehicles ,but also there are other vehicles wherby the magnet holds but can easily slide around with little effort...so I am thinking the mags for vehicles are not nearly as...
