No such thing as clear reflective vinyl. If you think about it, its darn near impossible to be clear.

I used pre mask but to many times it falls off. I now just use masking tape, but I tape it at the top as that part of the vinyl is never printed on...works fine

If the vinyl is old, this can lead to problems.... If you cut to deep, this can lead to problems.... I always teach customers who are doing their own application that you dont pull the pre mask away from the backing paper, rather they lay the graphic down upside down and remove the backing...

if I were starting over with what I know now, I would have had a laminator even before I was digitally printing. They are great for running pre mask on large vinyl cut jobs as well as applying the vinyl to the signs virtually bubble free.

this too!!! large jobs with pre mask are done effortlessly with a laminator.

Nothing beats the laminator for putting graphics down bubbleless...for the most part

Did the decals have a bleed cut? this would be an issue with a cheaper vinyl....but as mentioned..General Formulations, although water based was a premium calendered with a 5 year outdoor life...
