  1. Looking for Someone to Redraw a Design

Agree. It happens to me a lot when quoting some jobs.
  2. Drum Roll, Please.... My New Logo, Thanks to Sign Amigo

Was it made with Corel or Illustrator? Just kidding. I like it. It's not the color scheme I would have chosen but even with all the subcopy I think the design is very cohesive and easily readable.

  4. Looking for Someone to Redraw a Design

Yes, exactly. I'd be willing to say maybe as little as 2-3 hours, but you're right on point. If someone wants a quality job they should get a little more than a mere 30 minute effort to redraw that design. There are at least 40 different individual elements in that design, including the ferris...
  5. hibu

We were recently approached by an agent of hibu, formerly Yellowpages, and were sold an advertising package. We bought another listing in the phone book, as we had purchased one from Yellowbook the previous year. Then the guy pressured us into search engine optimization and web design services...
  6. Looking for Someone to Redraw a Design

30 minutes huh? I'd have at least 32 minutes into that.
  7. Painting Dibond

We would have scuffed it with steel wool, cleaned and painted with oil base enamel. We've had great luck at the local Home Depot store getting the Rustoleum white tinted to match about any lighter color. Dark colors not so much because Rusto loads the cans so full you can't get enough pigment...
  8. Metallized polyester film on acrylic.

That's exactly what I got to thinking earlier this afternoon. I got the dimensions and they are exactly 53" x 3.5" so I was gonna make one the same size, but you think a little over would be safer so maybe I'll just make it an 1/8" larger overall. Thanks again for the sound advice, sir. I owe...
  9. School bus font

Thanks guys. I thought it was the Highway series but couldn't seem to match it with what I had available.
  10. School bus font

Can anyone help me to identify this font? I couldn't find a match and I tried all the obvious ones like Highway, Interstate, Arial Narrow, Franklin Gothic, Helvetica, etc. with no match.
  11. Metallized polyester film on acrylic.

Well, when I went to go take a look at it, I noticed it had a identical black vinyl decal placed on the wall underneath the acrylic and the acrylic is raised off of the wall about 1/16" so I'm guessing they used VHB tape and applied vinyl underneath it so there would be a fair chance of clean...
  12. Metallized polyester film on acrylic.

Here is a photo they sent me of the black acrylic piece that needs changed/replaced. Hopefully this explains what I'm talking about a little better.
  13. Metallized polyester film on acrylic.

I'm going to look at some interior dimensional letters. There is a black acrylic strip below the main letters that is, from what I could gather from the description, just brushed metallized polyester cut vinyl letters applied to the acrylic. They need one word changed but this would require all...
  14. new logo... after some hard thinking and a little advice ;)

If you're going to do a logo in black and white, doing all the lettering in black would be beneficial.
  15. new logo... after some hard thinking and a little advice ;)

This is much better than your first attempts. :)
  16. new logo... after some hard thinking and a little advice ;)

Sadly, those comments are aimed at helping you. It's probably the best sound advice you're getting right now. You really need to be honest with yourself and question the fact that you're taking on the task of designing your own logo.
  17. new logo... after some hard thinking and a little advice ;)

Less is more. This is my first take on it. Clean, simple, and professional. It utilizes a design and color scheme that can carry over into cards, stationary, the paint on your walls, your car wrap, etc. It's easily recognizable and readable. You are way over-thinking this. I'm not sure why the...
  18. new logo... after some hard thinking and a little advice ;)

No. It reads 'Sicjns". That script is horribly unreadable. The title should be "after little thinking and a lot of advice", because that's how I see this attempt. I'm not trying to bust your balls here, but why on earth are you posting the same design you already posted in the previous thread...
  19. What's Your Method of Color Registration

So many people are likely using the same technique due to common sense. I avoid applying anything wet. Registration marks are simple and easy to set up. Seems like a nobrainer to me.
