Trade show I have researched and bought from many companies in the hardware arena. Here is a non-comprehensive list off the top of my head: Testrite Expand Mark Bric WS Display Orbus Duo Brandstand Drytac Bowman If you have done a Google search for "retractable banner stand" - you will get...
  2. Eliminating Static

Static Just remember - eliminating static from a piece of Scotch tape at a trade show is a little easier than eliminating static from an electrical device. Do a Google search for anti static environments and you will garner alot of companies that make real world products that probably work...
  3. Digital Printer for Posters?

Posters Your choices are HP, Epson and Canon Figure out what you want to spend, how many colors you really need (some go up to 12 color) what your majority run width will be (24", 36", 44", 64", etc.) and how often you will be running it (some don't like to sit for too long between use)...
  4. Where can I find info on making my own profiles?

Would be nice if there was a straightforward guide for Onyx, as well. The steps are easy enough, but there are some pretty critical decisions to be made along the way that if you don't know what they do - can really screw up the works and give bad results.
  5. Banner stand

Photo And here is a photo of said stand... disregard the length of the attachment pole - the previous vendor made graphic to incorrect template and cut the attachment bar to fit. Thanks
  6. Banner stand

Has anyone ever heard of a banner stand called "Scroll Space"? Its not a scrolling banner stand - thats just the name. I have done Google searches and looked at all the major producers/distributors of banner stands and no one has one even close to this thing. I am assuming its Chinese that...

  9. I hate some customers

Perhaps this is a great time for all involved to submit what their work order/job approval forms look like. I am always interested to see what types of things all the experts cover in documentation.
  10. So....has anybody ever...

Saw a guy on a Hayabusa steadily running away from 2 state troopers a few weeks back. The troopers cars were actually bouncing as they tried to keep up which is just shy of losing control. If you go fast enough and haven't murdered anyone - eventually they will let you go. But either steal one...

  12. HP Latex

Styrene I have a Mutoh Blizzard running eco-sol inks. What did you do for a profile? WHy the need to turn the heaters off? I only ask because we typically print styrene on our flatbed - but the static has been so much fun lately that the image quality will suck wind right now.
  13. HP Latex

I looked on HP's website for my answer and I think its "No", but was wondering from you owners out there if a Latex printer will print and adhere to .020 styrene.
  14. Making text on a angle with a wave

Text on path Way back in my younger days when Postscript was just invented - there was a program for the Mac called Typestyler. It would do it for you automatically. I think its still available and relatively inexpensive. It has tons of presets to generate all kinds of funky type scenarios...
  15. Rastek H700 flatbed? good/not good?

Flatbed +1 on the CET. Fly me to Hawaii and I'll train you and walk you through the beginning setup and color profiling. I already have a place to stay... Ok, really, you don't have to spend $130K to get a VIABLE flatbed printer that will produce very good quality at a reasonable pace - but...
