Banner install
Okay-
if you are interested - the banners are up! they are now 6 feet wide by 20 feet high and we went with a hybrid install consisting of a 3" heavy steel rod in top pole pocket with eye hooks drilled into pole and straps placed around top of column that are barely viable. The...
Was wondering if anyone would find value in a poll requesting what all the flatbed owners are doing about fingerprints and smudges on various board media?
I know the alcohol regimen works for some - and I use it most of the time either as a 50/50 dilute or straight up 99%, but even still, we...
cars
That whole project was highlighted in a Wide Format Imaging article last year - or Big Picture or one of those other industry magazines. Cars are part of it. Rest of it is wrap
Ford
I want one, but most of what I print is at least 4x8 boards and some 5x10s and neither will fit in there flat very easily - if at all. Wish they made a slightly longer one
Column install
There is a reason I peruse this site every day... see whats happening... what issues guys are having... and to get solutions to real world problems from other industry people.
You guys are awesome and I really appreciate all the input. I hadn't even considered the ratchet strap...
Banners
Sorry... forgot to say... banners are 5' x 15'.
Our original intent is to sew in pole pockets on all four sides and attach bungee cords around the columns and brackets into brick at top and heavier pole at bottom, but are concerned that bungees will cause image scalloping.
Okay,
Please see attached mockup of banner job that is going to attempt to be installed on Friday.
Client has big facilities maintenance group to do all the install stuff, but are looking for direction from us as to best way to install and not damage the columns and not make huge sails out of...
Space Station
Biff... you kid me.
Got in touch with catalog department at Bass Pro and it is apparently a custom made font.
But it sure looks familiar...
Printer
JUst my two cents...
may want to take a look at the new CET printers. Priced right and mine is 8 color (6C + white + varnish) same heads as the Oce and just about as fast as the 350GT.
I really like the 550 and hope to graduate to something like that, but it does cost alot of...
Spent about an hour in the booth at SGIA and it seems pretty good, but looking for real world feedback on Shopworks software for estimating/accounting/inventory/ etc.
Has anybody seen or is anyone using this software? How does it compare to the usual suspects of Estimate/Cyrious/etc.?
Thanks...
To buy?
I would second the latex for the simple reason that you can immediately laminate and start installing the graphics off the latex machine. With any solvent or eco-solvent I would allow up to 24 hours to properly outgas prior to lamination.
There's also the whole issue of ventilation...
It embarasses me to ask this since I used to be really good at font identification in the early days of postscript - now there are too many to recognize!
I believe this is a SignDNA or Letterhead font - but am not sure.
Thanks in advance for the id...

CC Fee
I don't think its illegal in North Carolina, at least.
Now what I am about to say should provide no bearing on the story or your impressions of us NC folk.
When we go to the local gun shows (great place to buy first aid kits and camping supplies BTW) - they always tell you there is...
NBM Show
Uhhh.. i live here in Charlotte and have been to the show for the past 4 years and it has dwindled down to nothing but t-shirts, clip art and trophies.
We walked the entire show last year in 15 minutes and laughed on our way in and out of the door.
If you are wondering of the...
Coro Signs
Is there a specific need for flatbed? Is it all 4 color - have photos that need to look good - different files? Quantity and 2-sided leans toward screenprint.
Anyway - I will send you a private message with quote
