  1. Whoa!!! e-mail Graphtec about 64 bit driver support and just see what happens!

Many of the industries hardware and software companies have become 64 bit compatible. They are not true 64 bit applications yet, but will run well in a 64 Bit environment. Flexi 8.0 and above, Onyx 7.2 and above, Wasatch, Adobe CS2 and above, Corel X3 and above, and even the newest Omega (even...
  2. Boot issues!!!!! Please help!!!!!!

If you haven't already, you can try an "image" based backup using something like Ghost or Acronis. It may be worth a try, but nothing can be guaranteed after a drive starts to fail. In the future, you may look into "imaging" your drive once in a while. Then, if your drive fails, you can...
  3. HELP! Purple "A" in my windows tabs!

Sometimes fav icons get stuck in our browsers (all browsers). The first thing I would do is clear my browsing history and temp internet files (as that is where the fav icon is cached). By the way, I have used all kinds of different browsers and keep coming back to IE eventually. It works on...
  4. Looking for a Laptop

XP 32 Bit can only use 4GB (same as Vista 32 Bit) XP 64 Bit can use as much as the motherboard (and bios) can handle (same as Vista 64 Bit)
  5. Roland VersaWorks 2.20

VersaWorks 3.0 does support Vista (32 Bit). I believe that it is a free upgrade as well. click here
  6. An UNVERIFIED Warning about CS3 and CS4

You may. To get around this, deactivate before removing the old drive. You can deactivate from within Photoshop. Then your key will be free to activate again after you install the new drive.
  7. An UNVERIFIED Warning about CS3 and CS4

Believe me, we have had our issues with Flexnet. I am not going to go into detail, but I am pretty aware of the trouble it can cause if it isn't working correctly. But it's failure didn't render our computers useless, only the other Adobe software that relied on the Flexnet licensing. We only...
  8. An UNVERIFIED Warning about CS3 and CS4

I think this is a hoax, or at least not applicable in all cases, as I have personally cloned and restored my drive several times with different versions of Adobe (including CS3). I have not restored a system with CS4 yet (as it is so new). It is odd that some of you are finding CS4 to be...
  9. How to do it in PhotoShop

"feathering" maybe, or you can use the blur tool...
  10. Dongle Duplication/Cloning ?

    PM Sent...
  11. Dongle Duplication/Cloning ?

Absolutely... with Remote Desktop (which is free with XP and Vista) and other "paid" solutions, you can work at your shop computer from any computer, including your home computer. It is fairly easy to setup and works well as long as you have a good Internet connection on both computers. If...
  12. Dongle Duplication/Cloning ?

How about attaching your dongle to your car keys (or something like this)? This may work for some of the small shop owners.
  13. Dongle Duplication/Cloning ?

Sarge, I wasn't serious about you being immature. I was mostly making fun of my "immature" posts above, and those of my fellow immature peers (as you were being very serious). No offense intended. :notworthy:
  14. Dongle Duplication/Cloning ?

Awe Sarge. Stop being so immature and taking things out of context! LOL
  15. Dongle Duplication/Cloning ?

If your dongle is experiencing ED (Electronic Disfunction), then take two of these little purple pills. If you haven't found your dongle within 30 minutes, consult your doctor. And, I am sorry for your loss.
  16. Dongle Duplication/Cloning ?

I thought about duplicating my dongle... Insuring my dongle might be a good idea too... It sure is worth more than 10k to me. Once you lose your dongle, it sure is hard to find it again, especially if it is a small dongle. If you find yourself losing your dongle frequently, keep your dongle...
  17. and again. the failure known as Flexi shows it's true colors

I am in no way trying to "bash" Flexi. I am simply disagreeing with the posters that say that Flexi doesn't have any issues and it must be the computer or user that is in error. We see issues on brand new computers with brand new installs. There was a point at which it became a major problem...
  18. and again. the failure known as Flexi shows it's true colors

I have to admit, Flexi has its problems (as does most software). I have seen small problems and I have seen BIG (widespread) issues with different versions. It does many things well, but it gets "quirky". But, I love this idea.... If it doesn't work for you, try something else.
  19. Dead PC...any ideas?

I am still sticking with the power supply or video card. Both are easy swaps.
  20. Dead PC...any ideas?

Check your power supply. You can use a multimeter or buy meter specifically for power supplies. That would be my first choice, but video card is a definite possibility.
