  1. Mutoh ValueJet

My understanding is that there are some true discounts on equipment at the shows due to the dealer not wanting to transport a used "demo" printer back from the show. This allows for a little more wiggle room than usual as long as the buyer takes the printer home with them or arranges...
  2. CS4 is available!

Not officially. But, we did have to jump through a few hoops to get it to work correctly with our RAID systems. I would bet that those 64 Bit systems are not correctly optimized for CS3. If they were, they should be considerably faster than the 32Bit system. We ran many comparisons and if...
  3. CS4 is available!

Personally, I hope so. There are a lot of XP64 folks who would really appreciate the added performance. The 64 Bit advantage is HUGE in CS4. That being said, I believe that Adobe is only supporting Vista 64. That does not mean that it won't work on XP64 though. I have not tested it, yet...
  4. CS4 is available!

I just finished working with a few larger files (1GB +) on our SignBurst SuperNova™ and WOW, it is fast! I am working with a SuperNova with no upgrades in 64 Bit Photoshop CS4. I am hearing amazing things from our clients who have upgraded to 16GB and 32GB of RAM!
  5. CS4 is available!

It is part of the package, but I don't spend enough time in Illustrator to give you an educated answer. I do notice that it is still a 32 Bit program, despite "leaks" that I had read online. Photoshop installed in both 32 and 64 Bit versions.
  6. CS4 is available!

Awweee.... I finally get to say it. SHOULD HAVE BOUGHT A VISTA PC! I am just kidding! I know that you Apple "fanboys" (and gals) all love your Macs! I don't want to start a war. You have your reasons.
  7. CS4 is available!

yep.. I believe that you need the CS3.3 in order to be upgraded like Jamie was. This is good news for those who recently took the plunge into CS3.
  8. CS4 is available!

Very interesting (and exciting)! Okay here is the deal. I am using a 1.25GB layered .tiff as my test file. I am testing on our least expensive design system (SignBurst Inferno™) with 8 GB of RAM and the scratch disk upgrade. I am comparing times between Photoshop CS3 (32 Bit) and Photoshop...
  9. CS4 is available!

Apparently Adobe finally came through with the graphics card acceleration! Good news and a long time coming! It "warned" me the first time I opened Photoshop CS4.
  10. use tax

Wow! You are a honest person... use tax is so often overlooked! Good for you!
  11. CS4 is available!

Will do! It is a huge download (3.8GB for Design Premium Upgrade) and we are going to have to test it on a few systems here. It may take a bit.
  12. CS4 is available!

downloading it now... Should be fun on our 64 Bit systems!
  13. Hello From New Mexico

Welcome Matt! From you neighbor is sunny AZ!
  14. Auto Save On Adobe Cs3??

I don't think that there is an "autosave" function in PS. But I believe that there is an "autosave" plug-in that will work. Google it.
  15. Flexi Quits with No warning

Yikes... I was hoping that this was going to clear them up. As it seemed to clear up the ones we were experiencing.
  16. Flexi Quits with No warning

By the way, we are testing 8.5v2SP1 on our (64 Bit Vista) SignBurst SuperNova™ as we speak. So far, so good!
  17. Flexi Quits with No warning

It is interesting how Flexi works. I, honestly, have made a seemingly harmless change to a PC and rendered Flexi inoperable. I have a customer (forget what version of Flexi, 7.?) who changed her XP GUI to "classic". As soon as she did, Production Manager wouldn't open. We tried many things...
  18. Flexi Quits with No warning

Tec? Are you serious? Flexi has had and still does have problems. Granted, not all of users' problems are software related, but Flexi is not (and never has been) perfect. Just recently, the problem with 8.5v1 was so widespread that printer manufacturers wouldn't even give out the newest (at...
  19. Onyx profiles for the JV5 - Why do they suck so much?

Scott, I don't think it really works that way or the profiles that came with the RIP would work for everyone. There are so many variables that people build their own in order to account for the specific variables in their EXACT situation. A profile that works perfectly for one may be horrible...
  20. Flexi Quits with No warning

is it 8.5v1 or 8.5v2? I haver seen many such issues with v1, but v2 seems much more stable.
