  3. All Computers Running Slow!!!???

Do you share a Internet connection between the two computers? If so, I would bet that all of your computers go through the same router or switch, regardless if they have Internet access or not. If that is the case, one of the network computers, network printer, or other Ethernet attached...
  4. All Computers Running Slow!!!???

No Internet, but are they connected via a network? I have seen a single device on a network hammer the other devices to the point that they all slow down.
  5. Adobe CS4 Stonehenge Extended - Leaked

You are welcome... glad I could help.
  6. Adobe CS4 Stonehenge Extended - Leaked

You know, it all depends on your situation. I wouldn't want to have to ask customers for a file saved in an older version. If nothing else, it just looks bad. To my knowledge, Adobe has not released a date for CS4. I am eagerly awaiting, but I don't have the crystal ball. If it were...
  7. Adobe CS4 Stonehenge Extended - Leaked

That is an interesting question, and not a simple one. What version are you using now? Does your current versions do everything that you need? Why are you thinking about upgrading? Just to clear something up, those were Jack's words, not mine.
  8. Adobe CS4 Stonehenge Extended - Leaked

I don't think that this is entirely true. If it is, Adobe is not admitting to it and they are blatantly denying that it is already present in CS3. I have seen this rumor a number of times, but I have never seen anything to support it. From Jack Nacks blog...
  9. Flexi 8.5, Favor To Ask...

what does the 1614 driver have that the 1604 driver doesn't? As I understand they are the same driver (with a slight different #). I may be wrong, but that is what I was told. Just curious...
  10. Flexi 8.5 production manager problem

That was our first thought. I am not talking one system that we saw this on. I would say in the neighborhood of "dozens". My problem with that idea is that the previous versions of Flexi (on the very same computers) worked without any of the same issues. So did other brands of RIP software.
  11. Flexi 8.5 production manager problem

Flexi 8.5 has this problem in Vista and XP (it is not a Vista only issue). We started running into this exact problem as soon a we started updating to 8.5. We tried different brands of network cards. We tried with the Windows firewall and without. We tried many things and still saw the same...
  12. Wierd STOP

What version of Flexi are you using? We have been seeing a fair bit of this with v8.5.
  13. Windows Vista

Not to mention the personal security and privacy issues. I think that there is already some pretty good virtual desktops out there (have even seen them mentioned here on Signs101), but for me, they would be nothing more than a temporary deal. I don't really need my info (data) stored on some...
  14. BUILT NEW RIP/Now need help

I think that we got this one figured out. He followed the above instructions and every worked fine. Most new drives need to be initialized and formatted before they show up in My Computer and can be used.
  15. Windows Vista

Isn't that what I said? If not, it is what I meant to say. I was told that Wastach wasn't "officially" 64 bit compatible until this latest release (last week), but the release before that (May) was compatible, just not "officially".
  16. BUILT NEW RIP/Now need help

Not exactly true.... have MANY systems running Onyx on RAID, and it does make a difference. (i.e. SignBurst Inferno™ RIP Edition). As for your drives, if Device Manager shows them, they should show up in Disk Management (although they may need to be "initialized"). If they are not...
  17. External hard drive

I agree with Checkers. While external hard drives have their place, you really have no control over the actual quality of the drive inside (unless you build your own). Take a manufacturer like Western Digital, for example. WD sells at least half a dozen different models of hard drives for...
  18. Fexi 8.5 / Runtime Error

Unfortunately, we are seeing a lot of these types of issues with 8.5. SAI is aware of the issues and I am sure that they are working on it. It doesn't seem to be an issue of hardware (i.e. RAM) or antivirus incompatibility. I wish it were that easy with the 8.5 issues. I know at least...
  19. Windows Vista

Most of the RIP manufacturers are seeing the light. Onyx is already Vista64 compatible Wasatch will officially be by the end of the month (although the current version is unofficially 64 bit Vista compatible already) SAI engineers told me they are good on 64 Bit Vista Roland VW is not...
  20. Windows Vista

How can I argue with a psychic? Actually, I have kept up on 7's progress fairly well. I have seen a MS "roadmap" showing that 7 is planned to be released in late 2009/early 2010, possibly. I also saw dates pushed back several times with Vista and fully expect to see the same with 7. Techman...
