This is when the asshole tax kicks in.
"Due to my suppliers prices going up.... This order will be 10% more expensive than the last"
Or... Put terms in your invoices. Payment within 30 days or interest at x% per month begins to incur. You can bet they'll start paying 29 days after the...
Our magenta did the same last week. The easiest way to tell if to run a test print using only one magenta head.... Then runit using the other. If both are misting what are the odds both heads are dead?
Tech told us to try new ink... So we did... After 3 flushes the misting was way better. Took...
Latex is approved for traffic signs... Which must meet certain standards of reflectivity. We print green blue and yellow all the time and have excellent reflectiveness.. much more than our solvent gave us.
Perhaps you were laying down too much ink for reflective? We print at 6/8p and 100-120%...
We use 8518 for clear and 7725 3m for white.
Any white and clear will do... So long as they match. Ie don't use a calandered white with a Cast clear.
The white needs to be white on both sites. I'm not familiar with white so I cant say if those will work or not... But if the adhesive side of...
I print on 54" clear in reverse. I make sure the cut marks are on the 51/52" marks, or anywhere past 48" - Then you use the white 48" to laminate ontop of the clear... making sure not to cover the cutter marks. Then you just load it into your cutter like normal and cut it - I use 48" so Idont...
I've never found a way for it to be perfect in Onyx.
I usually cut the white space out, tell it to print left justified...measure how far off it is and then I tell Onyx to print it inset by xx amount. Then I can run a full roll of reflective and it works good.
Not sure how flexi is... But...
Onyx seems glitch. We run 10.1 at the shop... If our 560 goes to sleep, Onyx won't read the media type or size from it anymore. Not too big of an issue! But you'd expect better from the software.
I figure it was outdated software. But I run a 19 at home with a 560 and it does the same thing...
I wanted to wrap my home garage with wall vinyl. I emailed our ND rep and told them it was a personal sale and not one to the company and what it was for (I had to pay via cc and not put it on acct, only reason I mentioned it
They sent me a quote... Said since it's personal they'll do it for...
For me (West coast, Canada) Grimco is leaps ahead of ND graphics. Their support is better... their pricing structure is better.... You don't have to bug reps for better pricing. For instance....
NDgraphics website shows a 3M roll of vinyl as $906 a roll... if we called our rep and ordered it...
You guys say 100k gross a year....
Our employees make roughly 40-50,000 a year. Health/dental/insurance/ei/other benefits costs probably 10-15k per employee. So that's 50-65k net. Material cost... Other labor...machine ware and tear, etc... You're making almost nothing from said employee...
The 115 ink cost me about 40% more in canada.. which adds up once you start doing volume.
Keep in mind the 115 and 315 do not come with cutters... You have to buy the print and cut bundle. Same.with a take up reel... If you're doing large amounts of decals you'll have to purchase a take up...
Have you tried the summa smart knives? It's more expensive. A rep tried to get into us3 then for our graphtec... I do 30,000 decals a month and I don't need to change my blade more than once every 3-4 months... So I never saw the need to use it. Plus, for perf cutting we buy cheap $1. Chinese...
It could be whatever process ford uses is leaving behind contaminants.
I presume you clean it.... Have you tried using rapid cleaner? It's good at removing most residues that cause problems. I'd try rapid clean it, then rubbing alcohol 1-2 times just to be safe in that area.
If your...
Let me know how good it is. My understanding is it only rolls up and not back... So if you're cutting a 20ft job it'll still drop on the floor and potentially crinkle...still worth it IMO, but it'd be nice if you could slow it down and have it unroll and reroll itself on cuts!
Have you made butterfly edge holders yet? Saw a YouTube video on it... Supposed to help with the heater a lot.
I found a pack of 4 edge holders for $100-150ish on eBay.... Picking them up tomorrow to try the butterfly guard out. I'll let you know how it goes!
Buy 54" Clear, setup your prints to be 48" wide and have the crop marks at the 1"/53" mark... Then laminate it with 48" white. Then your crops don't get covered in white and you're good to go.
In a shop I guess it's different. My 110 was in my garage... I didn't have a work table or nothing. So I had to put the roll on the holder, put the spindle in.. put the other side in... Lift it up... It wasn't too bad unless I already had a roll on. Then what were my options? I had to move the...
560 can print more.vivid colors can it not? I know it can lay down more ink resulting in deeper colors.... Not that I've ever used that before. But it may come In handy.
I love.the spindless system. We never load crooked... It's super easy to load. I have a 110 as well, I hate touching it...
