Now if someone can show pictures of a retractable set up for a printer that would make my day!!
Spent a few hours rigging up our Rolands a while back only to find that the pvc pipes I used were too weak. Back to the drawing board and using vinyl boxes for now.
Thank you very much for the advice! I am indeed going to do some digging on Filemaker's website. Quickly checked it out over the weekend and looks very impressive.
You're bang on about time being the biggest challenge - I'm hoping that if I team up with my friend who is a programmer/app...
I feel like a nerd right now....but this stuff excites me. This has always been my dream to have a smooth organized workflow that basically looks exactly like you have in your examples.
So this system was all created using Filemaker? Do you have any pointers on learning how to do this? As...
Man those are cheap!!
We've ordered from these guys in the past for our swabs https://www.swab-its.com/collections/printer-cleaning-swabs/products/71-4565-5-125-large-rectangular-head-foam-cleaning-swab-by-swab-its
We're in Winnipeg MB and have garage keepers policy on our insurance as we often have customers' vehicles in our shop.
It's not very often that we have boats in here (other than my own personal boat) and I don't believe we have specific insurance for boats.
Does the "ship repairer's" insurance...
You determined this because there are a lot of threads about them? Wouldn't want to search Roland printers then either I guess.................
Regarding the latex printers, like anything else there are people that swear by them and then there are people that won't touch them. From what I've...
Don't mean to hi-jack this thread....but I'm curious about all these variables and options.
For example, we're running Onyx Thrive, printing with an Oce Arizona flatbed and 2 Rolands. So we would need to profile rigid and roll media. Assuming we would want to stick with i1 - would both...
That's the most visually pleasing sign I've seen in a LONG time! Can you make me one for my shop? :)
Awesome work Phillip. Nice to see you're still working at it and obviously getting quite good at it.
I'd love to try my hand at this some day. Some day!
Have you tried flushing it with cleaning solution or alcohol? We've added this to our weekly maintenance schedule and it has helped quite a bit.
One thing I've found when flushing the vacuum is that it can weaken the barb that connects the head to the line - we've broken a few of them and now...
Just out of curiosity, how much do you sell the chips for? Can they only be used once?
We've definitely gotten better at timing our ink orders and ordering direct from Canon helps, but when we first got our Arizona we wasted a ton of ink due to getting stale ink.
Sigh. Was hoping to come back to this thread to see some good news! Fingers crossed that it does actually show up tomorrow and you're back up and running this week.
I've been through this song and dance with Roland printers (not quite to this extent) and completely understand how frustrating...
Thanks for the great marketing ideas. We've been lucky to keep busy and growing from repeat and word of mouth clients over the years but I want to step things up this year.
Can you elaborate on the Google alerts portion? This seems like a great automated way to stay on top of things.
Thanks!
We've used the Roland adhesive paper and it prints, cuts, and weeds great. Quite pricey for what it is but when you need paper it gets the job done and does tear as expected.
We went through this with a customer a while back and they needed a label that would tear (think tamper label) when a...
Thanks for the info guys, good stuff so far!
What about more specifically how to prioritize those tasks/orders/quotes? Not necessarily which software you use, more just how you pick and choose the order to attack things.
I also work off hand written lists and find it's the fastest/easiest way to get stuff out of my head and into reality.
The only part I struggle with is prioritizing that list. I usually end up jumping back and forth and adding more things that I cross off.
I have found that once I have my...
