do you have a cleaning cartridge you can put in there just to keep the lines from drying up or clogging. not sure exactly how long it can go but i had that happen once and my dealer told me to put the cleaning cart in till he could get me the ink the next day
my wife and her friend did it $300 + some vitamins and they both still smoke but it was guaranteed and neither of them went back. i can't answer if it works or not for sure but i think it depends on the person/personality and you have to really want to quit
the tape is a good idea. i used regular masking tape when i did a similar job and the stripes lined up great. still probaly want to keep the cutting on the car to a minimum. if they remove the strips and have big cut lines they won't be happy also i think you open the door for rust or paint...
if i print on my xc can i cut on my vp?
in theory it should work right, if i am using versaworks for both and i set up the files the same way in each program it should just read the dots and cut?

i just did a job like that over the weekend on a dodge sports car and the hood,trunk and roof no problems but going around the fin and down the from and back where you get the curves and grill took a little longer
took me about 3 hours from start to finish and i used 3m 180j w/ comply
we are extremely busy. big and small jobs. our silk screen dept and label dept have 6-8 weeks of work. the digital printing is busy taking up some of the over flow from the other dept.s and truck lettering/signage. my boss is quoting about 10 jobs a day(knock on wood i hope it stays like this)...
another good one i have had while installing having other employees of the place you are lettering their trucks come out and ask:

i would definately worn them of possible clear coat coming up when removing. it shouldn't happen but if the floor hasn't been cared for properly anything is possible.
stranger things have happened so at least if you make them aware of it you don't end up fitting the bill to get the floor repaired
