We had customers with that issue too. 3M for example recommends to don't apply the prints right after laminating, but let it stay for a day or two. And of course, be shure that the print is cured before laminating.
Flexi 7.7 is the latest Flexi 7-Version, so if the driver is not shown in the drivers list, there will be no driver available for the 1204. No possibility to add it. As far as I remember, the driver is available since Flexi 8.
Just place the middle pinch rollers beside the grit rollers (metal rollers in the platen), in any other than the marked positions. Then they will not be lowered down on the media.
Don‘t use one of the middle rollers on the left or right edge of the media. The outmost pinch rollers have a...
The filter is located behind the ink box rack, near the ink pumps. Will not give a specific error.
It is no possibility to check that filters visually, but there is a possibility to loose the tubes and let the ink pump work ... if no ink comes out of the tubes while the pump is working, the...
Do you use original ink? I had that on a roland some years ago that third party ink have produced very reddish prints. The Mimaki-Profiles are made for the Mimaki Inks, and if the ink have a different colour gamut, you will run into problems.
How to you check that the plotter does not respond to any increase or decrease in knife pressure? If through a plot application: sometimes software override the settings in the plotter. So it could modify the settings in the plotter, but the value will default everytime to the setting in the...
I would suggest to use the newest version of Winplot. Doesn't matter if the plotter is old, it should work.
Check the transmission speed of the serial interface. Should be at minimum 9600 baud. Check too the number of knots of the curves ... older corel versions make strange things there sometimes.
The current S-Class Plotters are introduced to the market in 2005. They got a colour touch screen, a network interface and faster electronics in 2013, but the main features including OPOS-Sensor and functionality, cutting speed and quality, tracking and so on are staying the same.

Unfortunately we have it in the same company, but we share both devices between two offices. Currently both devices are in the other office ::banghead:
This machine, as the "old" one too is cool for several reasons (not only the retractable measurement head). The size of the measurement aperture is changeable, so with smooth media 2mm is ok and a lot of small swatches on one sheet of paper, while rough structured media like textiles will be...
If using different machines (even 2th and 3rd Generation Latex Printers as you do) different ink types and - shurely - different standard printing profiles, colour differences are the logical result. Even with printers of the same type, due to several reasons an exact colour match out of the box...
The color tables are not in the cloud, they are saved locally. My HP Edition Folder still contains the Pantone-Tables. The more likely reason for a missing colour table is that the user himself moves it by mistake.
The tubes you can look into at the carriage are no ink tubes, but tubes of the vacuum system. The ink tubes are the black ones (UV-Ink will cure if exposed to light). So it can be seen if they are filled with ink or not.
Regularly the vacuum pump tries to hold a vacuum level in the tubes. What...
