If I had the know how I'd like to have a prototype produced. Any ideas who might have the capability? The "know how"
  2. Magnet cutter

I believe that the center knob can be made with a very precise bearing that would be stiff enough to allow very precise cuts. Most designs can be made to include bleeds to allow for any variances. The cut line can also be made slightly larger than the desired size.
  3. Magnet cutter

That's exactly what I didn't want when I came up with my design. A pinhole in the center would not work at all. I've seen a lot of others out there but they too use a pin as a pivet.
  4. Magnet cutter

From time to time we print a small number of round magnets. By print I mean print to decal then apply to magnetic material. The magnetic material is too thick for any of our plotters to cut. We cut them all by hand. Some use scissors and some use xacto knives. I prefer the knife myself. Usually...
  5. Camo wrapped truck

No one could possibly tell that it's "a nice install" without seeing it in person. If it's a seamless install with edges rolled in then it's a good install. Nice share though. Always good to see what's trending in the wrap world. We're getting ready to do a crazy custom designed boat wrap. I'll...
  6. Printing from Corel

It's not the RIP. It's all in the profiling. You have to experiment with different scenarios profiling, densities, number of passes, etc. Out of curiosity why are you designing in RGB? Most print is CMYK. Sometimes we'll export out as RGB tifs and sometimes as CMYK tifs. Never pdf's though...

  10. Tips for installing a 6' x 14" strip of vinyl + Cut vinyl over it?

On glass I would definitely wet apply the first layer. Dry on the next layer is fine. I tack down another oversized substrate the same thickness against your sign. Hinge along the edge of the 6ft length.

Hmm. Coworker called in this morning to get his Air Conditioner looked at. Just saying it's still hot here in Florida. On a side note we have a designated wrap room that can fit some pretty good size vehicles. We're also adding another larger room. Gotta have that A/C ya know. LOL Heat also...
