  1. Corel X8s AI and EPS wont work!!

If it fixes it, why not? Generally share screening fixes take about an hour, never seen it take longer than that. They will review a couple of critical areas and should find a fix there.
  2. Why no love for 3M vinyl?

It's the case of 3M V.S. Oracal, who's better. Just like Roland V.S. HP. :Big Laugh
  3. Pole banners without sewing

Sewing is better, you can do what I did. Go to your local upholstery shop and ask them to do it. I did some 24" X 48" and they only charged me $10 per banner for sewing, that was for two lines each top and bottom.
  4. Why no love for 3M vinyl?

I've been using Oraguard 210 for 3 years and haven't had one fail me yet. It's just like the mass Avery screw up with the spliced rolls, it costed sign shops hundreds of thousands of dollars. It was fixed and people started using it again.
  5. Why no love for 3M vinyl?

I won't use 3M unless it's a state job and requires it. Mainly due to the price, it's way higher than Oracal and Oracal has never failed me. You are paying for the name. Most people bash Oracal but have never tried to compare it to 3M. You need to try both in the same grades.
  6. Cool Signs in Montgomery, TX, doesn't pay their bills

Legally you need to have a repo claim on your agreement or invoice. Sometimes a judge will allow it, but it's 100% legit to repo if you have that somewhere on a paper. However it's not legal to just go take it down. You have to go to court and get permission to do it. Because if the property...
  7. Working from home questions

This is going to be a touche' thread. Some people prefer brick and mortar shops and others prefer home based. I am the kind of person who prefers brick and mortar. However I started out from my home as a mobile business. Issues I found with Residential shop: #1. The county restricted any...
  8. Any tips on laying down 48" transfer tape?

Two tips for you, #1. Put a 4' ruler on each end and stick it to it. Flip over and lay down holding both rulers, one in each hand with the middle as the lowest part. #2. Only buy 24" rolls and just overlap them, EASIEST!!
  9. Need Help Reverse channel letter removal.

Depends on how it's mounted, some you can just yank out of the wall, others you have to put a vice grip on it and twist out, some you can take a sawsall to and go crazy. If they were done properly they may be a nut on the interior of the wall, check that first.

  12. LED Conversions for Sign Cabinets

Use the LED tube bulbs, they are mega bright and modules and strips aren't bright enough for that kind of depth. Also you will spend 3X more putting in substrates and lattices. Alternatively you can do special modules, they have a very thin beam like a sheet of paper, they are excellent for...
  13. Corel X8s AI and EPS wont work!!

I wonder if there are still parts of the trial version on the computer. You can try completely uninstalling all Corel versions completely and doing a fresh install. Make sure you install everything the program has to offer.
  14. Corel X8s AI and EPS wont work!!

I've been using X8 since it came out and I haven't had any issues. Did you download the newest patch? Soon as it was released there were a few major bugs, so they released a large patch and it fixed most things. Make sure you have it fully up to date, grab it from the corel website. If your...

  16. New Owner of Signs101.com

This is one of my improvements, Fred lets everyone fight and attack members, causing big disruptions, there is no respect, very little help and I've seen countless people quit the forum due to this. As soon as some members join for the first time, they are attacked. This forum should be about...

  19. Exterior pylon signs: Polycarbonate VS Lexan VS Acrylic....

I don't know the tech specs on them, but you should be using polycarbonate (which is lexan apparently) for all illuminated box cabinet signs, acrylic for be for general signage, mainly indoor uses.
  20. Installing 4 x 8 outdoor sign
