Lie to it like stated above; tell it you are printing on regular 220 vinyl instead of 280 reflective.

Every roll here has a different shade of gray adhesive on the back. I noticed it a long time ago, but it has never been an issue yet. Some are really dark gray and some are almost white.

I think it may have to do with leaving them in the que and switching media sizes, but haven't confirmed this yet. The weirdest part is that when you turn off tiling on the "now tiled" jobs, they say they are at 100% when their new size w/o tiling is incorrect.

Unlike a Roland, Mimaki printers have a slew of pinch rollers 25+ that feed the media, so I think this is a very low possibility. I am also under the assumption that something on the take-up reel has broken and it hasn't been found yet.

Does it walk the same amount w/o the take-up reel? Are you sure the feed reel isn't messed up? and that all of the pinch rollers are working correctly? I would think if it was pulling that unevenly on the take-up reel that the vinyl would tunnel on the print area and cause head strikes.

That is not true, we wrap all of the local Pepsi trailers and quite a few beer trucks also. And get paid well for it! Now Pepsi DOES print in-house, but some things they have figured out they cannot do in-house. (like wraps)

The cowboy sells a solvent printable face-mounted window perf. It printed great on an Epson GS6000 for me, but the ink profile really needs turned down to print on a Mimaki, as our test print on a Mimaki took a LONG time to dry and even then transferred some ink to our test window.
