  1. Roland start-stop during print HELP!!!!

    Lol
  2. help sp300v take up real

If I were to build one, I'd stick with the basic design from Roland. Get a stepper motor, a couple of pieces that will insert into the ends of a core, a "rocker bar" that will tension the media and trip a switch turning the motor on & off. It'd be pretty simple to build. Hardest part would be...
  3. How to cut a 20ft long stripe

Yep, either cut it by hand like Wayne said, or break it apart into four, ten foot long pieces. It'll use the material better anyways (assuming a 24" roll).
  4. Roland start-stop during print HELP!!!!

You can ipconfig/release like this.. doubt it will help though. Do you have a full blown network with a server or just a couple computers and a router? Lot of network traffic through the router? Many lower end routers aren't made to handle a lot of throughput. It may be time to upgrade to a...
  5. Bacon

LOL! God I love bacon... GG: That's an awesomely tasty looking donut! I think Pat may have just unlocked the key to peace in the Middle East.. Bacon.. and let the ladies show a little skin while you're at it!
  6. Collecting Money - Trade Work

The largest overdue balance we have is for another "sign company" that we wrapped a trailer for over a year ago. It's risky. If you decide to continue to do business with this guy, build finance charges in up front.
  7. Anyone have tips for a seamless box trailer wrap?

Just measure the spacing between the aluminum panels and tile accordingly. I'd charge extra for this.
  8. What would you charge to letter this trailer?

I'm coming up with about 128sf of total vinyl needed. You may be able to save a little by nesting, but for estimating purposes, we use the higher number. We get $900 for a simple job like this all day. We're busy as can be. I'd prefer to print & cut, just for ease of install.
  9. Need a wholesale printer who can liquid lam...

We've charge extra for wraps with liquid lam too--but that is on vehicles. It's a PITA to work with because you have to tape it. Then you have to take the tape off. Trailers are a different story. Liquid lam'd cast vinyl is very conformable, and works perfectly around rivets. I'm...
  10. Need a wholesale printer who can liquid lam...

Does anybody have any recommendations? I've got a few trailers that I'm bidding against another company that's using liquid lam. The client wants to see an apples to apples comparison.
  11. What is causing this?

You need to figure out what's causing it. Like Chopper said, it could be dirty/plugged nozzles, improper feed calibration, etc... What's your test print look like?
  12. Little Help Please!

    Thanks Tiki!
  13. Roland start-stop during print HELP!!!!

Is the computer a fast machine? Are you running anything else while printing? Are you ripping while printing? This sounds like either the machine is having trouble keeping up with ripping or sending the files, or the network is have trouble keeping up. I don't know why mleg1972 would say...
  14. "Oh Buddy, you are WAAAY off!"

It comes down to the fact that people view what we do as a commodity, and don't believe it takes any talent. I had the owner of a very large company that does hundreds of millions of dollars in sales each year, bitch about me charging him $145 for 100 6"x4" print/lam/cut decals. He actually...

  16. Little Help Please!

Nada? I guess I've been spoiled by the typical four responses in three minutes!
  17. cheapy cheapy very cheapy guy

You should go have a sandwich and sit there and watch him do it.
