I am a member on lots of boards. I know most of the time to read someones post with a smile on my face and hope that they are being polite. I also know a troll when I see them. This forum has alot of...
Thanks.
Like I said. I dont mind working for FREE....and if it takes 5 years then so be it. I will work part time and do what I need to do. OR if someone else wants to tag team then I will sell the signs and they can do the installs. I just wanna work and make money.
For the record... I went...
Other than shrinkage its not bad. Occasionally I will get banding but I think that has more to do with the fact that I am running colorrip with a profile for 3651 and cant afford the upgrade to versaworks to get the profile for 3640.
It shrinks really bad though. On circle decals its not...
Its not the best but I am not sure what the "standard" is. I was advise to use it by a store clerk and a couple of other guys I know doing decals so i went with the 3640.
have you guys ever used "Hexx" or something like that... I think t hats what its called. i have seen that used on decals too...
I used a general formulations when I first started doing this 3 years ago, but I cant remember if it shrank up or not. I know it wasnt cheap. :( Thanks man :) Lol, never heard the saying horse a piece before!
I use the stuff to print decals and it prints great, except it shrinks up ALOT when the decals set for a few weeks. I also use it for signage and have no issues so far. Anything better than 3640 that is around the same price point? I need gloss and matte options for decals :) :thankyou:
HAHA- thats funny
See thats why I put the statement at the bottom of my post...
I dont mind criticism or advice - Thats exactly what I want.
....What I dont want or need is your insult of "Hmmmm, probably the same mindset that got you into this situation."
You dont have anything to offer...
I want to get my c-45 sign installers license here in California. Seems like you cant do anything bigger than banners and small over the counter stuff here unless you have it...I have problem though.... I dont know how I am going to get the experience needed to get the license. I know that...
would it be unethical? for someone to typeset the following:
WRENCH-ON WHEELS
and then email the eps or outlined art to:
mike@applingmedia.com
I need to do this one way or another...If I have to I will drive back to the street sign and take a pic of all the tenants and then trace the needed...
I was advised to use PV bond for the two parts.
Any advise on proper paints? I was told all kinds of different paints, but I think semi gloss black enamel "one shot" is what I will use...
I was advised by the HDU manufacturer to us this Primer: FSC-88WB
These are great ideas guys. I really like the aluminum idea. The problem is I dont have any experience bending or welding aluminum... Hmmm...I like the PVC idea, but I wanted the 2 inch back to be formed like the logo. I really liked how you sketched it up too :) AWESOME!
Any books or videos...
You keep telling me my approach is bad but then offer no real solution that you are willing to explain in detail. Can you give me some advice or help me figure out a way to complete this project so that the sign will look professional? I am doing my best to learn all I can, but I admit that I...
